When the Wall Street Journal reported in a front-page lead story that the Department of Energy had concluded the COVID-19 pandemic resulted from a leak from China’s Wuhan laboratory, you might have argued it was old news. The FBI had already, it turns out, come to the same conclusion and with a higher degree of confidence (moderate) than the Energy Department (low).
Those agencies’ conclusions, moreover, came as a result of a May 21 directive from President Joe Biden to multiple intelligence agencies to review two “equally plausible scenarios” for COVID’s origin, “whether it emerged from human contact with an infected animal” (the zoonotic theory) “or from a laboratory accident” (the lab leak theory).… Continue Reading

When I was young and foolish, I went to see a horror movie one afternoon.
It was George Romero’s “Night of the Living Dead,” a black-and-white 1968 classic that is still quite terrifying.
The low-budget ($150,000) film is set in western Pennsylvania. It’s about some strangers who flee a growing mob of zombies and hole up in a farmhouse. The scariest scene is when a wounded woman, prone on a table, quietly turns into a zombie herself and attacks the people who had thought they were safe.… Continue Reading

The polls are starting to show that a conservative “wave” may be forming after all for the midterm election. No kidding.
Somebody should tell The Washington Post. They reported on Oct. 10 that “Half of voters say climate change is important in midterms.” Sure it is. You keep thinking that way.
For weeks, media polls gave the impression that Democrats were an even bet to hold the U.S. House and U.S.… Continue Reading

This article continues addressing a ballot measure that Illinois voters must vote on this election cycle.
We urge voters to reject Amendment 1, a constitutional amendment that
would elevate collective bargaining rights in the Illinois Constitution,
allowing government union contracts to override state law.

As shared recently on Illinois Family Action, the forced unionization of 1099 independent contractors is the hidden agenda now openly public for the proponent of Amendment 1.… Continue Reading

It started on July 11, in a speech in San Antonio, Texas, First Lady Dr. Jill Biden said the following, per the transcript from the White House with emphasis added:
“Raul [Yzaguirre] helped build this organization with the understanding that the diversity of this community—as distinct as the bodegas of the Bronx, as beautiful as the blossoms of Miami, and as unique as the breakfast tacos here in San Antonio—is your strength.”

Well, it’s official. The only cheap gasoline that President Biden seems to like is the stuff he keeps pouring on the bonfire of racial grievance politics.
“Evil will not win,” he said during his speech in Buffalo in the wake of the supermarket mass murder of mostly Black victims by an unhinged nutcase, white supremacist suspect. “We have to refuse to live in a country where fear and lies are packaged for power and profit.”… Continue Reading

There are many column-worthy topics, but I’m going to limit this to the Hunter Biden laptop, President Biden’s troubling gaffes and Disney’s latest plunge into “wokeness.”
The Washington Post, like The New York Times, has finally admitted the validity of Hunter Biden’s laptop 16 months after the New York Post broke the story. Like Big Tech, they suppressed it until after his father, Joe Biden, was safely ensconced in the White House.… Continue Reading

The New York Times has a problem with Russia. And the truth.
For more than three years, the Times pushed the false Trump-Russia collusion story, making the paper an accessory to what amounted to an attempted coup against the 45th president.
For its sordid role, the Times, known as “the Gray Lady,” won a Pulitzer Prize in 2018 for writing on “Russian interference in the 2016 presidential election and its connections to the Trump campaign.”… Continue Reading

There’s a second wave of media reaction to John Durham‘s latest filing on the origins of the Trump-Russia investigation. The first wave was silence, hoping somehow the whole story would vanish. Now the second wave is “Explainers,” which attempt to hem and haw defensively through the whole business.
The Associated Press “Explainer” was headlined “How the latest Trump-Russia filing generated buzz.” This article was sent to me on Twitter by a fellow who apparently hates Donald Trump with the energy of a thousand suns, so that illustrates the type of people who eagerly share these dismissive articles.… Continue Reading

One of the greatest barriers to living a life of liberty is fear.
It comes in many forms: Fear of offending others, fear of failing, fear of terrors, real and imagined, and fear of death. The media have become experts in stoking fears of every kind.
Fear of getting involved is another form. Bystanders did nothing this past week while a woman was molested and then raped in a Philadelphia subway car.… Continue Reading
