Media’s Hits Continues To Delegitimize SCOTUS

Written by David Harsanyi

As with ProPublica’s recent smear of Clarence Thomas, there’s a lot of excitement across the left-wing Twittersphere over a Politico hit on Neil Gorsuch. But even as a transparent piece of partisan propaganda, it is poorly conceived.

Politico kicks off the piece, “Law firm head bought Gorsuch-owned property,” with a purposefully deceptive claim: “For nearly two years beginning in 2015, Supreme Court Justice Neil Gorsuch sought a buyer for a 40-acre tract of property he co-owned in rural Granby, Colo.”… Continue Reading

NPR Won’t Hide Their Hatred of Republicans and Fox News

Written by Tim Graham

National Public Radio left Twitter in a hilarious huff. In a statement, CEO John Lansing announced, “We are not putting our journalism on platforms that have demonstrated an interest in undermining our credibility and the public’s understanding of our editorial independence.”

This contains multiple layers of comedy. For starters, NPR is a platform that has demonstrated an incredibly aggressive interest in undermining the credibility of Fox News Channel and the public’s understanding of how it balances out NPR’s relentless liberal bias and censorship.… Continue Reading

Perverting and Despoiling What God Has Created

Written by Robert Knight

In our materialistic modern age, we sometimes need reminders that Lucifer is real and up to no good. And that God is infinitely more powerful.

Years ago, LGBTQ activists picketed a church in Anchorage, Alaska, because the church opposed a gay rights ordinance. The protesters noticed a guy dressed in a devil suit with a pitchfork marching beside them. When they asked what he was doing, he said, “Oh, the pastor sent me out here.… Continue Reading

Sorry Progressives, Motherhood Is Still The Ultimate Career

Written by Peter Heck

Several years ago, the graduating class at the high school where I teach asked me to give their commencement address. In hindsight, I should have known better than to stray from the tried and tested formula for graduation speakers. Young, brash, and always eager to say something that would be remembered, I made the fateful decision to stray from the culturally approved list of platitudes that everyone knows you are supposed to tell high school graduates:

  • “You can do anything you set your mind to.”

When Old Friends Like Reader’s Digest Go Off The Rails

Written by Robert Knight

When my wife and I were in Colonial Williamsburg several years ago, we talked briefly to a store clerk about an unwanted change – the passing of a longtime pharmacy in the Market Square area near the William & Mary campus.

The pharmacy had an old-fashioned lunch counter that served up the best milkshakes and limeades we had ever tasted. Now it was gone.

As we lamented its replacement by a chain store, the clerk stiffened her spine and barked, “Change is good!”… Continue Reading

The FBI and Liberal Media Collusion Grinds On

Written by Robert Knight

Someone in the FBI keeps leaking materials that agents seized during the shocking, unprecedented nine-hour raid of former President Donald Trump’s Florida home on August 8.

We know this because supposedly sensitive documents keep turning up in the Washington Post. Of course, they do. The paper justifies its eager role in the FBI-fueled witch hunt against Mr. Trump by claiming concern for “national security.”

If that’s their motive, the Post should report on President Joe Biden’s dangerous foreign policies and his perversion of our armed forces into a “safe space” for Corporal Klinger.… Continue Reading

‘Respect for Marriage Act’ is The Latest Example of The Left’s Outright Lying

Written by Robert Knight

If you want to know what Democrats are attacking at any given time, just watch how they label something. It’s the opposite of what it would mean to any normal person.

For instance, “reproductive care” is not about reproducing, that is, having babies. It’s about abortion or preventing pregnancies.

“Gender affirming” or “gender confirming” policies do not verify actual genders. Instead, they deny biology and elevate delusions into enforced falsehoods. They should be called “gender denying” policies.… Continue Reading

Hillary Clinton Should Apologize for the Biggest Political Hoax Since Titus Oates

Written by Michael Barone

It’s the biggest political hoax since Titus Oates’s allegations of a “Popish Plot” to assassinate King Charles II in 1678. Oates’s charge of a Jesuit conspiracy swept through London and led to the execution of four innocent men before Oates was proved a fraud.

The full consequences of the great political hoax of our time — the charge that former President Donald J. Trump was colluding with Russia — are not yet fully apparent.… Continue Reading

Cowardly Biden Hides from the Press on Afghanistan

Written by Tim Graham

The very supportive media environment around President Joe Biden has turned suddenly sour over this administration’s shoddy handling of Afghanistan. This debacle shouldn’t be buried and ignored by the press, like they’ve tried to do with the border crisis. But Biden’s gone back to hiding as a strategy, as he did in his 2020 presidential campaign.

For four days, the president disappeared from public view. Then he gave a speech on Aug.… Continue Reading

Breaking Up Big Tech Hard To Do, But It Should Happen

Written by Robert Knight

You know it’s getting thick when even U.S. Senator Elizabeth Warren (D-MA) says Facebook and other social media are too censorious.

First, she took the mandatory shot at Donald Trump. “I’m glad that he’s not on Facebook,” the Massachusetts Democrat said of the ban on the former president upheld on May 5 by a Facebook appeals board. “I think that he poses a real danger.”

She went on: “But I don’t think that Facebook ought to have this kind of power.… Continue Reading
