Progressives frequently point fingers at those who disagree with them, calling them deplorables, Bible-thumping rubes and science deniers. Yet without fail, our accusers rarely provide any evidence to support their claims. The leftists’ call to “respect the science,” i.e., look at the obvious empirical evidence, almost always works against them rather than for them and their utopian schemes.
This is true across the spectrum of the current political debate. Be it inflation, foreign policy, immigration, racism, the efficacy of masks, climate change or gender identity, when we look at the empirical data relevant to any of these topics, the science screams that progressives are wrong and conservatives have been right all along.… Continue Reading

The U.S. Supreme Court works in strange and mysterious ways.
It can enrage the progressive left with a solidly constitutional ruling like Dobbs v. Jackson Women’s Health Organization (2022), which overturned Roe v. Wade and sent the issue of abortion to the states.
But it can also amaze and frustrate conservatives, as when it refused before and after the 2020 election to review Pennsylvania officials’ unconstitutional changes to election procedures.
“We failed to settle this dispute before the election and thus provide clear rules.… Continue Reading

Some things are wrong regardless of intent or a claimed level of authority. If laws conflict with the ultimate authority — God — they are invalid, as the great British legal scholar Blackstone (and later, the Rev. Martin Luther King Jr.) observed.
In most situations, parents have the God-given right to direct their children’s upbringing. But there are limits to that authority, such as evidence of child abuse.
Exhibit A is the lawsuit by parents, doctors and lawyers who are trying to get the U.S.… Continue Reading

In 2020, a lot of people went for Joe Biden because they wanted a return to normal life.
A vote for the Democrat, it was said, would be a way to “turn down the heat” and calm a nation riven by the deadly Black Lives Matter and Antifa riots, the COVID-19 pandemic, and the media and deep state’s nonstop circus surrounding then-President Donald Trump.
“History, faith and reason show the way,” President Biden said in his inaugural address on Jan.… Continue Reading

If there were any doubt that the COVID-19 pandemic exposed widespread corruption in America’s health care establishment, a federal lawsuit should put it to rest.
Filed by the attorneys general of Missouri and Louisiana, Murthy v. Missouri accuses the Biden administration of censoring medical views it dislikes.
So, what did the American Medical Association do? The doctors guild lined up with the censors in an amicus brief.
That’s right. It’s their way or the highway, science be damned.… Continue Reading

Six of the nine U.S. Supreme Court justices have been appointed by Republicans, yet red states are now being prevented by federal courts from keeping boys out of girls’ bathrooms. What was the point of the generation-long battle for control of the high court?
A three-judge panel for the Seventh Circuit Court of Appeals in August upheld a lower court ruling forcing the Metropolitan School District of Martinsville, Indiana, to allow people to enter the school bathrooms of their choice, not the one that matches their sex.… Continue Reading

The Democrats’ plan to “save democracy” is pretty clear.
Their first order of business is to defeat former President Donald J. Trump by any means possible, wielding the legal system like a stiletto.
The second is to get rid of as many election integrity safeguards as possible. More about that in a moment, with Virginia as a striking example.
Mr. Trump, whose momentum toward the GOP nomination may be unstoppable, is being hounded on absurd charges by Democratic prosecutors in Democratic-run courts in four jurisdictions with jury pools dominated by Democrats.… Continue Reading

Sigmund Freud, the founder of psychoanalysis, chronicled neurotic disorders, including “projection” and other psychological defense mechanisms.
Projection occurs when someone projects their own feelings, motives, behaviors and thoughts onto others. It’s a way of coping with one’s own insecurities and to blame one’s problems on others.
Another Freudian concept is denial. That’s when someone dismisses external reality and formulates his or her own “truth.”
Both disorders are not only rampant among America’s political left but have become tools in their war on common sense, truth and decency.… Continue Reading

Like green shoots poking up through snow in early spring, more signs of resistance are emerging every day.
We may be witnessing a massive rejection of the grim future fashioned for us by ruling elites, whose narrative of radical change is collapsing.
Americans are not buying what they’re selling.
They told us to endure endless rounds of COVID-19 shots, which are not only ineffective but may be harmful. Pfizer and Moderna stocks have plummeted because Americans have weighed the outcomes and gone natural.… Continue Reading

Joe Biden defenders have been on a wild ride this past year. It began with them arguing that the president knew absolutely nothing about his family’s influence-peddling business to arguing that it’s no big deal that Chicom wire payoffs happen to have Biden’s home address listed on them.
The quality of the excuses, unsurprisingly, has been deteriorating rapidly. They largely entail repeating the words “no” and “evidence” in a perpetual loop. But, this week, when James Comer released financial records of Hunter Biden receiving two wire transfers totaling $260,000 in 2019 from Beijing with the president’s Delaware home listed as the beneficiary address, the White House jumped into action.… Continue Reading
