In this edition of Illinois Family Spotlight, IFI’s David Smith has a timely discussion with Pastor Jim Scudder Jr., who was in Jerusalem at the time of the interview. They discuss Pastor Scudder’s new book, The Spiritual War Against Israel.

How to Exit UN & Defeat Radical Left

Written by David E. Smith

The U.S. government should leave the United Nations and restore American sovereignty as an urgent matter, explained U.S. Congressman Chip Roy (R-TX) in this far-reaching discussion with journalist Alex Newman at the Fredericksburg Tea Party’s Boots & BBQ fundraiser.

Rep. Roy is the chief sponsor of the DEFUND Act to “disengage entirely from the United Nations debacle.” He picked up the torch from lawmakers in previous congresses who also tried to get the U.S.Continue Reading

What Do You Call 12 Antifa Radicals in Body Armor?

Written by Daniel Horowitz

Since the 1990s, federal agencies and the media have fed Americans a steady diet of panic about shadowy “right-wing militias” — usually ex-military guys obsessed with guns and ready to wage war against the government at a moment’s notice.

The panic went into overdrive after January 6, 2021. But now, in a staggering act of projection, the threat they’ve spent decades warning about has arrived — only it’s coming from the radical left.… Continue Reading

Don’t Let Rural America Become The Next New York City

Written by Daniel Horowitz

Elect strong conservative leaders in your state — or watch it go the way of New York City. That’s the unmistakable warning conservatives should take from New York voters nominating a Hamas sympathizer and self-proclaimed socialist for mayor.

How could this happen just one generation after 9/11? How does the city that suffered most from jihadist terrorism now embrace a foreign-born Islamist who wants to “globalize the intifada”?

When Donald Trump calls for more farm labor from the third world — so long as the workers aren’t ‘murderers’ — he misses the deeper issue.… Continue Reading

The Leftist/Jihadist Cult of Hate and Death

Written by Lt. Col Allen West

Isaiah 1:18 (KJV), “Come now, and let us reason together, saith the Lord…”

I remember the murder of Dutch film director Theo van Gogh in November 2004. He had completed a film titled “Submission: Part 1,” which criticized the treatment of women in Islam. Van Gogh was shot and had his throat slit by Mohammed Bouyeri who resented the film’s message. There was even a note left on van Gogh threatening Mohammed Bouyeri and others left on van Gogh’s body.… Continue Reading

U.S. Senator Ted Cruz on Campus Antisemitism

Written by Peter Heck

[Last] week, the U.S. Senate Judiciary Committee hosted a hearing to discuss the alarming rise of coordinated and centrally funded antisemitism on college and university campuses. While it was illuminating and frightening to hear the testimony of several of the witnesses, the highlight had to be this tour de force by Texas U.S. Senator Ted Cruz who, it seems, is not overly impressed with the Hamas-sympathizing Hitler brigades pushing a Holocaust sequel on federally-funded campuses.… Continue Reading

A ‘Free Speech’ Right to Immigrate? Don’t Be Absurd!

Written by Daniel Horowitz

Should we allow people in the United States to say hateful things? Absolutely — that is the essence of America. We cannot start down the slippery slope of punishing people for their beliefs, as we saw under the Biden administration with the treatment of January 6 defendants.

Does that mean we should admit foreigners who hold pro-terrorist beliefs and spread them on social media? Absolutely not! Freedom of speech is a right, but no foreigner has an affirmative right to immigrate.… Continue Reading

2nd Trump Administration Will Set Things Right

Written by Robert Knight

Want to hear something that may be music to your ears, especially if you were delighted by the results of the Nov. 5 election?

“Anxious gloom grips much of the District.”

That was the take of Washington Post staff writer Kyle Swenson in a feature article last Wednesday about a place called Kraken. It’s a “rage room,” a business where customers pay $29.99 to smash things with crowbars, wrenches and baseball bats for 15 minutes of “stress relief.”… Continue Reading

What to Expect at the Democratic National Convention

Written by Robert Knight

The Democratic National Convention convenes on today and runs through Thursday, Aug. 22.

“More than 15,000 members of the media will be in Chicago to cover the convention,” the convention website informs us. That is, they’re supposed to be there to cover it, not act as delegates. But it’ll work out the same way.

The media will help Democrats create a misleading portrait of the party to pump into America’s living rooms.… Continue Reading

Sanitizing Violent, Flag-Burning Pro-Hamas Protesters

Written by Tim Graham

On the same day that President Joe Biden implied Jan. 6 was a darker day than 9/11 and Pearl Harbor, leftist protesters fought and shoved police and burned the American flag near the Capitol. They pulled down the American flag and replaced it with the Palestinian flag. Some flew the Hamas flag and vandalized monuments with spray-painted slogans like “Hamas is comin'” and “I commend Hamas.”

The occasion was Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu speaking to a joint session of Congress.… Continue Reading
