It’s not even Halloween, and the election is two months away, yet the Russian hobgoblins are coming out again to scare all the boys and girls.
Attorney General Merrick Garland’s Justice Department is working hard to turn some annoying Russian cyber meddling into the greatest threat to “democracy” since Hillary Clinton’s operatives hatched the Russian collusion hoax of 2016.
Here’s how it works. The FBI identifies “divisive” themes put out by Russian bots, such as citizens’ concerns over inflation or crimes committed by illegal aliens and then denounces them as “disinformation.” … Continue Reading

The U.S. Supreme Court works in strange and mysterious ways.
It can enrage the progressive left with a solidly constitutional ruling like Dobbs v. Jackson Women’s Health Organization (2022), which overturned Roe v. Wade and sent the issue of abortion to the states.
But it can also amaze and frustrate conservatives, as when it refused before and after the 2020 election to review Pennsylvania officials’ unconstitutional changes to election procedures.
“We failed to settle this dispute before the election and thus provide clear rules.… Continue Reading

The so-called fact-checkers are energetic defenders of President Joe Biden — almost like they’re his siblings or his nephews. No cockeyed critique of Biden is silly enough for them to forgo the urgent need to “check.” They’re perpetually poised to pounce!
PolitiFact gave us two examples on Feb. 10. Both were “Pants On Fire” warnings, but only one was about pants. The headline was “Joe Biden put his pants on backwards,” and their headline continued: “We know all about pants.… Continue Reading

The first thing the communists did after the 1917 Russian Revolution was round up anyone who disagreed with them.
They shut down newspapers and denied all public forums to dissenters. This included their “useful idiot” socialist allies.
We think it can’t happen here, but some recent moves to stifle free speech and enforce official viewpoints should give us pause.

While Big Tech’s Washington lobbyists fend off anti-trusters, Silicon Valley has not missed a beat in its “woke” censorship of views they don’t like.
COVID-19. Climate change. Vote fraud. Former President Donald Trump. Human sexuality. Whatever.
Toe their leftist line or get muzzled.
Last week, Google-owned YouTube blocked all videos on the Reintegrative Therapy Association channel after a left-wing group in Alabama complained loudly about them and Forbes carried an article parroting the group’s report.… Continue Reading

Big Tech was on the hot seat again last Thursday.
Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg, Google CEO Sundar Pichai and Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey testified again before Congress, this time in the U.S. House Energy and Commerce Committee virtual hearing. The three men were the essence of cool. Nothing ruffled them. Well, almost.
In fact, their cool, almost robotic articulation was unsettling, though it contrasted well with what unfolded at the other big Washington event on Thursday — President Biden’s first press conference.… Continue Reading

We are awash in so many media lies that I thought it might be useful to list a few for easy reference, in no particular order.
No. 1. The Capitol Hill riot on Jan. 6 was an “armed insurrection” in which five people were killed, including a U.S. Capitol officer hit by a fire extinguisher in the head. Reality: The rioters had no firearms or even knives. Two of the five died from a stroke and heart attack.… Continue Reading

Looking over the frenzied political landscape in America today — one marred by constant clashes between right and left — a single issue rises above the rest. In many areas of public life, conservatives — their words, views and values — are under assault. Ultra-left, radical activists methodically expunge conservative speech and conservative ideas from public discourse.
This threat to the First Amendment and to the sharing of viewpoints held by roughly half of all Americans is taking many forms.… Continue Reading
