‘Conservative Obama’ and Pregnant Men

Written by Robert Knight

What sets our current age apart from previous ones is not only technological wonders but the shocking abandonment of truth.

For Marxists, a lie is as good as truth if it works to advance their cause.  A case in point was a recent article on the front page of The Washington Posts Sunday Outlook section.  Next to a large, serious portrait, the headline proclaimed: “Barack Obama: Conservative.”  Sure.… Continue Reading

Rejecting the Marxists’ Version of the Constitution

Written by Robert Knight

The first rule of any Marxist revolution is that rules are fine if they advance the cause or cripple opponents.  The rules can be discarded the minute they get in the way.

That’s the way America’s Marxists, socialists and many liberals operate when it comes to the U.S. Constitution, especially the First Amendment.

Here’s the relevant portion:

“Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech or of the press.”

A Constitutional Power Struggle

Written by Robert Knight

That was the late Joe Sobran’s ironic take mostly on the courts’ blatantly unconstitutional usurpations over the past few decades.

The most powerful evidence that federal judges have eclipsed the other branches of government is the circus surrounding President Trump’s nomination of Brett Kavanaugh to the U.S. Supreme Court.  This should not be as big a deal as it is.

If you missed it, dozens of screaming women, some costumed, were dragged from the confirmation hearings.… Continue Reading

Left Claims The Moral High Ground – For What?

Written by Robert Knight

The progressive Left is in a panic over the U.S. Senate’s coming confirmation vote on President Trump’s nomination of Brett Kavanaugh to the U.S. Supreme Court.

How do we know this? They keep telling us.

In a national conference call sponsored by People for the American Way (PFAW), U.S. Senator Elizabeth Warren, Massachusetts Democrat, said, “We’re in the fight of our lives.”

PFAW’s Marge Baker echoed Ms. Warren by exclaiming that this is “a critical, critical, critical fight.”… Continue Reading

Vote Fraud Panel Frightens the Left

Written by Robert Knight

Judging by the unhinged reaction this past week to the first public meeting of President Trump’s blue-ribbon voter fraud panel, progressives are terrified.

They’re fearful that these election experts are actually going to do the job they’ve been given – uncovering the extent to which the nation’s voter rolls are vulnerable to fraudulent activity. How else to explain the panic and shots fired before the commission even met?

“This is such a threat to democracy, this commission, this voter suppression commission,” huffed MSNBC analyst and Daily Beast columnist Jonathan Alter on MTP Daily (Meet the Press Daily).… Continue Reading

Willful Ignorance: House Rejects Rep. Franks’ Proposal to Study Islam

By Robert Spencer

By nine votes, 217 to 208, the U.S. House of Representatives on Friday voted down a proposal to identify “Islamic religious doctrines, concepts or schools of thought” that jihad terrorists use.

Twenty Republicans joined the solid Democratic bloc to vote down this measure, which Muslim Representative Keith Ellison (D-MN) termed “wrongheaded” and fought hard to defeat. It’s hard to believe that there would be 217 votes against understanding the ideology that motivates and incites jihad violence, but that testifies to the power of the “Islamophobia” victimhood lobby today.

The ACLU’s Transparent Attack on the Election Integrity Panel

Written by Robert Knight

If you don’t think the Left is terrified by the prospect of clean voter rolls, you might not have heard about the latest ploy by the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU).

The ACLU has sued President Donald Trump, Vice President Mike Pence and the Presidential Advisory Commission on Election Integrity, charging them with violating federal “transparency” laws.

The suit is a bald attempt to halt the panel’s mission, which is to examine the prevalence of vote fraud in America and to recommend ways to secure the election process.… Continue Reading

The ACLU’s Ex-Con Army

Written by Robert Knight

Not content with filing nuisance lawsuits all over the country, most of them aimed at thwarting the Trump administration, the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU) is plunging into local political campaigns.

In Philadelphia, about 40 ACLU ex-con canvassers like Mike Twiggs, 59, who served 41 years for murder, knocked on doors and distributed literature keyed to the Democratic primary election last Tuesday in which voters selected newcomer Larry Krasner as the district attorney candidate.… Continue Reading

“ACLU Rule” Will Make Chicago Heroin Heaven

ct-stop-and-frisk-chicago

Written by Russ Stewart

Chicago doesn’t need a new police superintendent. It already has one: the American Civil Liberties Union. It is “Superintendent ACLU,” and the “ACLU Rule” governs on-street activity and monitors police conduct.

Every time a police officer makes a traffic stop, questions a suspect or talks to anybody on the street, a seven-page “stop card” must be prepared and filed, and a copy is forwarded to the ACLU. Every “contact” must be given a written receipt, which goes into the police department’s database.… Continue Reading
