March Madness And Its Antidote

Written by Robert Knight

It’s March, and you know what that means — lots of change and celebration in the air.

Daylight saving time begins March 10. St. Patrick’s Day is March 17. On that day, everyone’s Irish — even the English among us. The spring equinox is March 20. And there’s March madness.

I’m not talking about watching 68 colleges battle it out for the NCAA basketball titles. Or even the advent of baseball spring training, with opening day (March 28) only weeks away.… Continue Reading

GOP POTUS Debaters Failed To Paint The Big Picture

Written by Robert Knight

I caught the Republican debate on Wednesday. By the time you read this, it will have been analyzed to death. But here’s my take.

Some did better than others (Gov. Ron DeSantis, former Vice President Mike Pence, U.S. Sen. Tim Scott, and former Gov. Nikki Haley). Vivek Ramaswamy stole the show with his outsider pizazz and snappy answers. A little too snappy perhaps, such as his below-the-belt crack that he was the only candidate not “bought and paid for.”… Continue Reading

TPUSA Action/Conference – A Personal Perspective

Written by Nancy Hayes

About 3 weeks ago, Turning Point USA and Turning Point Action sponsored a Conference for the conservative grassroots at the Palm Beach Convention Center in Palm Beach, Florida. Attendance was estimated at over 6,000, with close to half of those being young, conservative college students.

As you may or may not know, Turning Point was initially founded locally in 2012 in Lemont, Illinois. Charlie Kirk is originally from the Arlington Heights/Prospect Heights area.… Continue Reading

CNN’s Mostly False Take on Biden’s Stance on Abortion

Written by Tim Graham

As CNN looks for a new leader, former CNN host Brian Stelter proposed this as the most important question: “What should an anchor do when a guest says something untrue?”

The public could turn this question around: “What should a politician do when a CNN host says something untrue?” The Stelters of this world cannot imagine anyone at CNN would ever say anything false. They arrogantly presume they always defend the “truth.”… Continue Reading

Trump & DeSantis Target “Woke” Education on Road to White House

Written by Alex Newman

Former President Donald J. Trump and Florida Governor Ron DeSantis are both focusing heavily on education policy in the run-up to the 2024 election, suggesting the issue will take center stage over the next two years. DeSantis is already on the warpath in Florida, as Trump vows to wrest control of schools from “radical left maniacs” and “pink-haired communists” in his second term.

Among other tactics, both men are vowing to ramp up conservative defenses in the ongoing culture war within schools as public education becomes increasingly radicalized — and unpopular with parents desperate to stop the sexualization and indoctrination of their children at taxpayer expense.… Continue Reading

Texas Primary Results and Possible Applications to Illinois – Including “RINO Hunting”

Henry Cuellar Forced to Runoff, Ratings Changed for Cuellar District to “Toss-up”

Written by John Lopez

The day after the United States Senate successfully filibustered the pro-abortion-on-demand H.R. 3755, the Texas primary kicked off the 2022 primary season which could have some ramifications to Illinois.

With H.R. 3755’s filibuster as a backdrop and Congressman Henry Cuellar’s lone Democrat vote in the U.S. House last September making him a target of the pro-abortion zealots, Cuellar won the most votes in the March 1 primary.… Continue Reading

Written by Michael F. Haverluck

According to the Refugee Processing Center, the Obama administration has already welcomed 23,248 individuals to the United States as “refugees” through the first 11 weeks of the 2017 fiscal year – almost doubling the 13,786 who were accepted for the same period in 2016.

Obama’s goal is to bring in as many refugees into America as possible through a concerted effort – before Trump takes over the presidency – says WND News Editor Leo Hohmann, who recently published the book Stealth Invasion: Muslim Conquest through Immigration and the Resettlement Jihad.… Continue Reading

Kasich: I ‘Probably’ Wouldn’t Sign Bill Keeping Men Out of Women’s Restrooms

Kasich

Written by Ben Johnson

John Kasich said on Sunday that he would “probably not” sign a bill preventing biological males from using women’s restrooms, locker rooms, and showers – and those who are hung up on the issue should “take a deep breath,” “chill out,” and “get over it.”

Face the Nation” moderator John Dickerson ended his interview with the the Ohio governor and presidential hopeful by asking if Kasich would sign a bill similar to the one enacted by North Carolina Gov.Continue Reading

Pat Brady Digs In — Will County GOP Calls For His Resignation

Written by David E. Smith, IFA Executive Director

This past weekend, Pat Brady, Chairman of the Illinois Republican party, was interviewed on Fox 32 about his political activity to help Illinois Democrats pass radical Leftist legislation to redefine marriage and family.  This conflicts not only with the Illinois Republican Platform and the National Republican Platform but also with the views of the majority of voters in the state –specifically members of Brady’s own party.  (Watch the video HERE.)… Continue Reading
