Judicial Watch Sues Illinois to Force Clean Up of Voting Rolls

Judicial Watch announced [on Wednesday] that it filed a federal lawsuit against the Illinois State Board of Elections and its Executive Director, Bernadette Matthews, over their failure to clean Illinois’ voter rolls and to produce election-related records as required by federal law, the National Voter Registration Act of 1993 (NVRA) (Judicial Watch Inc. et al. v. Illinois State Board of Elections et al.(No. 1:24-cv-01867)). The lawsuit requests the court to require Illinois to “develop and implement a general program that makes a reasonable effort to remove the registrations of ineligible registrants from the voter rolls.”… Continue Reading

A Media Obsessed With Screaming “Christian Nationalism” is a Far Greater Than Any Threat Posed by Christian Nationalism

Written by Peter Heck

The over-politicization of our culture has ruined so much. Among plenty of other things, our language has been one of the greatest casualties of our 24-hour “news” culture, our obsession over ideological purity and political scandal. Words don’t mean what they used to mean anymore.

People who aren’t bigots are called bigots because it’s easier to call names than make arguments.

Things that aren’t racism are deemed racist because shaming is easier than logically engaging.… Continue Reading

March Madness And Its Antidote

Written by Robert Knight

It’s March, and you know what that means — lots of change and celebration in the air.

Daylight saving time begins March 10. St. Patrick’s Day is March 17. On that day, everyone’s Irish — even the English among us. The spring equinox is March 20. And there’s March madness.

I’m not talking about watching 68 colleges battle it out for the NCAA basketball titles. Or even the advent of baseball spring training, with opening day (March 28) only weeks away.… Continue Reading

A Christian Response To The 2024 Election

Written by Annascott Cross

If you’ve driven anywhere in the last week or so, turned on a tv or radio, or gone to the mailbox, then you are probably well aware that the 2024 election season has officially begun. Campaign signs are on every street corner, political ads are airing on tv, debates are being held, and campaign mailers are hitting mailboxes. Over the last decade, politics have felt increasingly tense, so how should we navigate the election season as Christians?… Continue Reading

The Left’s Latest Attack on Christianity

Written by Laura Hollis

In a paroxysm of panic about Americans’ rejection of the Biden administration’s policies of open borders, rampant crime, runaway inflation and profligate spending on foreign wars, the Left has decided that the real cause of the widespread dissatisfaction and demand for policies that place Americans first is “Christian nationalism.”

They’ve been tossing this term around for a while, but it has picked up steam in recent weeks. It attracted widespread attention last week when Politico reporter Heidi Przybyla appeared on MSNBC to expound upon the article she penned warning of the presence of “Christian nationalists” in America who are flexing their political muscles.… Continue Reading

Joe Biden’s ‘Sanctuary Nation’ Policies Made Laken Riley’s Death Possible

Written by Daniel Horowitz

When George Floyd died under disputed circumstances in 2020, a spontaneous, rapturous global movement emerged to lionize him and use his death to demand changes to our policing and criminal justice system. The movement succeeded, and it resulted in the worst crime wave in a generation.

Laken Riley, a young nursing student in Georgia, was brutally murdered last week, allegedly by an illegal alien from Venezuela. Where are the cries of “justice for Laken”?… Continue Reading

Conservatives Hit With Massive Legal Judgments for Exercising Free Speech

Written by Robert Knight

Recent events give new meaning to the term “trumped-up charges.”

A Democratic New York State Supreme Court justice, in cahoots with a Democratic state attorney general, has written a new chapter in the book of political lawfare.

With no victims, no client complaints and no evidence of fraud, Judge Arthur Engoron nonetheless levied a $354 million fine against former President Donald Trump for the crime of doing business in the Democratic jurisdiction of New York.… Continue Reading

SCOTUS Takes Action on Several Religious Freedom Cases

Written by Kassie Dulin

This week, the U.S. Supreme Court released an order list taking action on several cases we’ve been watching.

Most notably, the Court declined to review Missouri Department of Corrections vs. Finney. Justice Samuel Alito issued a five-page statement about the Court’s denial. This includes a direct reference to First Liberty’s Supreme Court victory in Carson v. Makin.

In this case, multiple conservative Christians were excluded from a jury in an employment discrimination case brought by a lesbian plaintiff.… Continue Reading

Who Will Deprogram the Radicals at National Public Radio?

Written by Tim Graham

One of the grandest fictions of our leftist media is that somehow, championing “social change” is what makes you a “bona fide news organization.” Anyone who resists that siren song isn’t a professional, but a propagandist. One-sided coverage is great — if you’ve picked the right side.

On Feb. 19, National Public Radio displayed this fiction with an audaciously arrogant story headlined “Poland’s new government deprograms its once far-right public media.” Let’s especially giggle at the word “deprogram.”… Continue Reading

Christians Need To Stop Playing Defense And Go On Offense

Written by Dr. Everett Piper

In 2013, author John S. Dickerson wrote about the troubling condition of the American church in his book “The Great Evangelical Recession: 6 Factors That Will Crash the American Church and How to Prepare.”

Mr. Dickerson‘s key premise was that Christian orthodoxy in the United States is in rapid decline. The evidence he presented to support what, at first glance, seems to be a terminal diagnosis is multifaceted.

According to Mr.… Continue Reading
