Last Friday afternoon, Attorney General Merrick Garland announced that he had named Delaware U.S. Attorney David Weiss as special counsel to continue the investigation into Hunter Biden “as well as any matters that arose from that investigation or may arise from the Special Counsel’s investigation.” This appointment has been criticized as illegal by many, including liberal Harvard Law School professor Alan Dershowitz.
George Washington University Law Professor Jonathan Turley is also on record in a column for The Hill pointing out significant problems with the appointment:
This is, after all, the same Weiss who headed an investigation that was trashed by whistleblowers, who alleged that his investigation had been fixed from the outset.

Off the main roads, where all you see are cornfields, farms, cows, horses and an occasional buggy, it’s easy to forget the predatory culture that has eclipsed normal American life in most other places.
A peaceful spirit animates the countryside inhabited by the Amish, a growing sect in Pennsylvania, Maryland, Virginia, Ohio, Indiana, Wisconsin, and more than two dozen other states.
“English” visitors, which is what the Amish call everyone else, seem to sense that they should behave better.… Continue Reading

Have you ever wondered how President Biden could lie so often and so egregiously? Have you ever asked yourself how anyone can stand before millions of people on a near-daily basis and say things that are so blatantly false and do so with a straight face and an apparent clear conscience?
By almost any measure, Mr. Biden is a proven fraud and a pathological liar of the highest order.
Over the past few weeks alone, the president has repeatedly lied about his business dealings with his corrupt son.… Continue Reading

Last Tuesday, a remarkable thing happened.
Under a split screen of photos of President Joe Biden and former President Donald Trump, a message appeared during a Fox News story about Mr. Trump’s arraignment over documents found in the FBI’s raid on his Florida home. In all caps, it said:
“WANNABE DICTATOR SPEAKS AT THE WHITE HOUSE AFTER HAVING HIS POLITICAL RIVAL ARRESTED.”
Well, yes. What sounds like The Babylon Bee is exactly what’s happened.… Continue Reading

Someone in the FBI keeps leaking materials that agents seized during the shocking, unprecedented nine-hour raid of former President Donald Trump’s Florida home on August 8.
We know this because supposedly sensitive documents keep turning up in the Washington Post. Of course, they do. The paper justifies its eager role in the FBI-fueled witch hunt against Mr. Trump by claiming concern for “national security.”
If that’s their motive, the Post should report on President Joe Biden’s dangerous foreign policies and his perversion of our armed forces into a “safe space” for Corporal Klinger.… Continue Reading

If you don’t go outside the legacy media, you might have missed a few important stories.
In New York, Democrat Gov. Kathy Hochul extended the COVID-19 “emergency” to March 16, even though the pandemic is running out of steam.
“The rate of new COVID-19 hospital admissions has been increasing over the past month to over 300 new admissions a day,” she said. But, as The Wall Street Journal’s Allysia Finley points out, “In fact, state data show that daily new hospital admissions fell to around 300 from 2,100 in early January.”… Continue Reading

The crisis in Ukraine has highlighted, once again, the foolishness of the Western world’s climate change gambit – that is, shackling ourselves with economy-crippling restrictions that the globe’s largest, dirtiest, and most dangerous countries will ignore. Commentator Erick Erickson explained the ignorance recently:
Over the last two decades, Putin has taken advantage of the Western world’s grievous fixation with climate change. European nations have reduced their dependence on both fossil fuels and nuclear power.

Justice Department Inspector General Michael Horowitz identified 17 serious omissions, inaccuracies and failures involving the FBI’s conduct in the Russia collusion investigation and its pursuit of a Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act warrant targeting the Trump campaign.
The significant failings are laid bare in a report made public Monday that showed the FBI withheld from the FISA court misgivings about its star informant Christopher Steele, as well as evidence of innocence against targets like former Trump campaign advisers Carter Page and George Papadopoulos.… Continue Reading

The U.S. sailed into an era of energy abundance following the natural gas boom. But the replication of the American energy story in other countries is facing a stern challenge from radical environmental groups.
Why is hydraulic fracturing important for developing countries and why should they be wary of radical environmental groups?
The shale gas boom in the U.S. has led to the American Energy Renaissance—a period of energy abundance from diverse sources such as shale gas, nuclear, coal, hydroelectric, renewables, petroleum, and others.… Continue Reading

Twelve Russians have been indicted for hacking the DNC and releasing DNC emails showing that the DNC had violated its own rules and worked against Bernie and for Hillary in the primaries.
Leftists are talking about the Russians meddling in the U.S. election as a result. The problem is that while hacking the DNC is illegal and the Russians should be prosecuted, how can telling the voters that the DNC conspired against Bernie be considered “meddling” in our election?… Continue Reading
