A pro-natural marriage advocate at the conservative Heritage Foundation said President Donald Trump “should not cave” to LGBT activists by failing to issue a strong executive order defending Americans’ religious liberty, a leaked draft of which has been the subject of intense criticism on the Left.
Heritage senior fellow Ryan Anderson said, based on a document first leaked to the leftist magazine The Nation, that the order would be a “great place to start” for President Trump to honor his pledge to strongly defend the freedom of people to exercise their spiritual and moral conscience.
Homosexual and transgender activists are vociferously complaining the proposed order would constitute a “license to discriminate” against LGBTQ individuals and events like homosexual “marriages.”
Based on the leaked draft of the executive order, Anderson describes what it would do:
“It tells the entire federal government to respect federal statutes and U.S.
We are thrilled to be able to endorse a solid Republican candidate for U.S. Senator, and a challenger to incumbent liberal Republican Mark Kirk. James Marter is pro-life, pro-marriage and understands the importance of religious liberty. On the other hand, Illinois’ incumbent junior senator has a long record of actively opposing conservative Christian values. Kirk has voted to continue tax dollars for Planned Parenthood, publicly celebrated the U.S. Supreme Court’s redefinition of marriage, co-sponsored the radical Equal Rights Amendment and voted against the Religious Freedom Restoration Act.
Marter, a 53-year-old software consultant, has been married for 30 years to Jill, and have four grown children. They are active in St. Ann Parish in Oswego.
Marter believes in smaller government with less taxes and regulations. He would vote to prosecute Planned Parenthood for selling aborted and live baby parts, fight to enforce immigration laws, work to balance the federal budget, work to eliminate federal funding in Common Core and uphold the right to bear arms.… Continue Reading
The Illinois Family Action (IFA) Board of Directors enthusiastically endorses Dr. Jay Kinzler for U.S. Congress in Illinois’ 6th District. Kinzler, a medical doctor and Army Reserve Lieutenant Colonel, fully understands the importance of family, the sanctity of life, and the definition of marriage. Dr. Kinzler has a proven record in local government reining in waste and corruption. His commitment to accountability in government will help efforts to stop the continued out-of-control spending in Congress.
“The decision to endorse Dr. Kinzler over incumbent Peter Roskam was not easy,” said IFA executive director David E. Smith. “However, Roskam’s recent vote in favor of the budget-busting omnibus bill and the big government education bill (ESSA) that creates a new federal pre-kindergarten program, despite our calls against these proposals is frustrating.”
“But perhaps most troubling is Roskam’s unapologetic support and endorsement for U.S.… Continue Reading
Rod Dreher is right: the rage of the powerful against Indiana for daring to pass a state RFRA without the consent of the LGBT community marks a dramatic cultural and political inflection point,as I have pointed out in National Review. For the first time, a vanilla religious liberty bill similar to those passed in 19 other states was deemed “antigay” per se, and powerful corporations rushed in to punish the people of Indiana economically for their moral views on liberty.
The report card below is not designed to grade the candidates on their overall positions on the issues, nor to suggest an endorsement. It is designed to clarify who in this moment of crisis rushed towards the corporate lions to defend a cherished American principle of religious liberty under attack.… Continue Reading
By signing the Religious Freedom Restoration Act (RFRA) into law, Indiana governor and GOP presidential nominee wannabe Mike Pence briefly looked like a real conservative, trying to champion the Judeo-Christian morals and principles that made this country great. But within days of signing the RFRA, under unrelenting fire from the secular progressive MSM, Pence’s conservative resolve withered, and he decided the RFRA needed to be re-written ‘for clarification.’
Unfortunately, Pence is not the only Republican in a leadership position who doesn’t understand that the only way to stop secular progressive relativism is to actually be a Republican . . . and not behave like a Democrat. Two other Republican Governors haven’t been acting much like Republicans either. We can now add Michigan Governor Rick Snyder and, if any doubt still remained, New Jersey Governor Chris Christie to the list of RINOs.… Continue Reading
Famous, rich, wealthy, influential liberals, from Cher to Kareem Abdul Jabbar using their status to oppose the Religious Freedom Restoration Act (#RFRA). They’re cultural icons, who’s backward worldview is valued by millions. Also here’s the link I Mentioned in the video! If you really want to see more artists promoting conservative values instead of the culture constantly being influenced by influential artists in opposition to to your values, please share the following link I spoke of in the vid! I’m counting on ya!!!
Illinois’ Republican U.S. Senator Mark Kirk has gone and done it again. He has once again revealed his traitorous willingness to embrace all things homosexual. This time it’s Indiana’s Religious Freedom Restoration Act (RFRA) about which Kirk made this feckless statement:
I strongly oppose what Governor Pence did. We should not enshrine bigotry under the cover of religion. It’s not just bad practice – it’s un-American.
Yes, there’s nothing quite so un-American as that pesky First Amendment of which Indiana’s RFRA offers some measure of reinforcement against the tyranny of religious bigotry and big government intrusion. Kirk believes that reinforcing the First Amendment to protect the free exercise of religion from anti-religious bigotry constitutes bigotry.
Though Indiana’s RFRA law offers a measure of protection to all religious minorities, the issue has been turned into an anti-homosexual issue by the anti-orthodox Christian bigotry of homosexuals, and there’s nothing Kirk is quite as fond of as embracing all things homosexual at every political turn.… Continue Reading
