Federal Appeals Court Rules Favorably for Thousands of Air Force Service Members

Written by Jorge Gomez

This week, a federal appeals court issued a favorable ruling impacting thousands of military service members. The U.S. Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit upheld an injunction protecting U.S. Air Force service members from being punished or involuntarily terminated from the military for requesting religious accommodations to the vaccine mandate. Importantly, this protects First Liberty’s own Senior Counsel Danielle Runyan, a member of the Air Force Reserve, whose religious accommodation request was denied.… Continue Reading

Military Officials Keep Punishing Religious Service Members

Written by Jorge Gomez

A federal judge recently issued a temporary order preventing disciplinary action against two officers who requested a religious accommodation to the military vaccine mandate.

Judge Steven Merryday—serving on the District Court for the Middle District of Florida—strongly rebuked the military’s approach to religious accommodation requests. His order stated:

“The military is well aware of the frailty of their arguments in defense of their practices… The two service members are very likely to prevail on their claim that their respective branch of the military has wrongfully denied a religious exemption from COVID-19 vaccination.

COVID-19 Science or Blind Compliance

Written by Dr. Everett Piper

[On] Monday, Jan. 24, 2022, U.S. Senator Ron Johnson (R-WI), conducted a hearing on the issue of COVID-19 interventions. More specifically, the senator invited testimony regarding our military’s new practice of requiring mRNA injections of all our nation’s soldiers. Mr. Johnson’s goal was quite simple and straightforward. He wanted to learn what the available data shows concerning this new drug’s efficacy and potential side effects.

U.S. Senator Cotton Challenges the Left’s Psy-War Assault on the U.S. Military

The psychological-warfare attack — its script straight from the antifa/Black Lives Matter version of the Cold War’s Marxist playbook — began in January when the predictable chorus of hard-left hacks in academia, media and government vilified the American military with toxic allegations calculated to demoralize military personnel, sow destructive institutional suspicion and undermine command authority with the goal of weakening U.S. national security.

The propaganda ploy the hard left’s commissars, fuhrers and utopian messiahs use in their psychological assault first targets individuals. Continue Reading

IS THERE A CONSTITUTIONAL RIGHT TO SERVE IN THE MILITARY?
FOR THE “TRANSGENDERED,” APPARENTLY YES.

Throughout our series on judicial tyranny, I’ve been trying to conjure up analogies and metaphors to describe the absurdity of judicial supremacism. Yet, no degree of absurdity or hyperbole could capture what was just promulgated from the mouth of a federal district judge.

Forget about legislating from the bench or even nullifying the Constitution; D.C. District Court Judge Colleen Kollar-Kotelly issued an order Monday changing the laws of biology and ordered the Pentagon to admit anyone who decides to castrate themselves into the military by Jan.… Continue Reading

U.S. Senate to Trump: Force Transgenders on Military

Written by Chaplain Gordon James Klingenschmitt, PhD

“New York Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand, a Democrat, and Maine Sen. Susan Collins, a Republican, introduced a bipartisan amendment to protect transgender service members from President Trump’s plan to ban them from the military,” reports Time.

“The amendment introduced Monday would prohibit the Department of Defense from dismissing current transgender service members ‘solely on the basis of the member’s gender identity,’ Senators said in a statment.

“Any individual who wants to join our military and meets the standards should be allowed to serve, period.… Continue Reading
