For the first time since 1992, the constituents of Illinois’ 1st congressional district will be represented by someone whose name is not Bobby Rush. On this edition of Spotlight, David Smith and Monte Larrick welcome Geno Young, a conservative Republican candidate who is eager to bring hope and substantive change to Washington D.C.
As a life-long Chicago resident, Mr. Young is well-acquainted with the challenges that face the residents of his district – challenges that many other Illinoisans also face – and he shares how his America First platform will address these issues.… Continue Reading

Leftists, fearing the exit of persons of color from the Democrat Party desperately want voters to believe diversity is missing among the conservative candidates. They are again using identity politics to divide America, hoping to convince voters of the lie that conservatives represent only white America. … Continue Reading

While we are working to get the best conservative candidates across Illinois on the ballot for election or re-election in 2022, there is a reality we must deal with: doing all we can to ensure our elections are conducted fairly and accurately.
In 2020 we saw many examples of voting irregularities, even outright voter fraud, in Georgia, Arizona, Pennsylvania, and Nevada. In Illinois we have seen serious election integrity issues in DuPage, Kane, and Peoria counties, and of course there are historic problems in Chicago and Cook County.… Continue Reading

The self-government called for in the first sentence of the U.S. Constitution (“We the people”) doesn’t ever take a breather. With elections every two years in our state and nation, one election season ends and another begins. Primary election cycles give way to the General Election cycle whether in presidential years and elections for state constitutional offices or our local consolidated elections.
In the wake of two contrived impeachments against President Donald J.… Continue Reading

The 2018 election for Macon County Sheriff was an example of nearly everything that can possibly go wrong in an election. Unsurprisingly, the problems that occurred in
Macon County illustrate the issues facing the entire state of Illinois. Elections and election results are often uncertain in Illinois for several reasons, and many of the related problems surfaced in the sheriff’s court case.
As a result of the legal proceedings in the Macon County Sheriff election, the ballots were recounted.… Continue Reading
