Yesterday officially marked the entry of Jeb Bush into the 2016 Republican presidential race. Although the former Florida governor has instant name recognition and vast resources, they will not be enough for Republicans to pick him as their nominee for the White House. I believe this to be so for the following five reasons.

Scott Walker Says It’s Time GOP Concedes Defeat on ‘Gay’ Marriage

During an appearance yesterday on Meet the Press, Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker said he thinks it’s time his party concedes defeat and moves past the marriage equality issue.

Walker’s remarks come on the heels of the release of new nationwide polling showing that 51 percent of Republicans under the age of 30 support marriage equality at the state level. Bruce Rauner is Illinois’ governor because during 2014 he raised $78,191,560 and spent $58,426,802. Roughly $25 million of his receipts came from his own pocket. Self-funding, in essence, bought him the governorship.
