The Urgent Case for Election Reform

Written by David E. Smith

Illinois and the Nation Must Prioritize Election Integrity

President Donald Trump’s prime-time address this week presents a timely opportunity to launch a genuine national, bipartisan effort to strengthen election integrity. Unfortunately, top Democratic officials and their allies in the dishonest media have already rushed to criticize the president, dismissing his concerns about voter fraud and election meddling as “false” or “unsubstantiated.”

On his personal X page, JB Pritzker posted a statement in response accusing the President of “spewing lies” and attempting to “gaslight the American people” with “baseless claims” and “shameless propaganda.Continue Reading

Keep Fighting for The SAVE America Act

Written by David E. Smith

Americans should have confidence that every legal vote is counted — and that every voter participating in our elections is legally eligible to do so.

That is the simple premise behind S.3752, the SAVE America Act (Safeguard American Voter Eligibility), a major election integrity proposal backed by President Donald J. Trump. This federal legislation would require proof of U.S. citizenship to register to vote in federal elections, strengthen voter ID protections, and help ensure that American elections are decided by American citizens.… Continue Reading

Why Are Noncitizens Receiving Voter Registration Forms?

Written by David E. Smith

Illinois State Senator Steve McClure (R-Effingham) continues to sound the alarm over election integrity as it pertains to the Illinois Department of Human Services (IDHS) and the distribution of voter registration materials to illegal immigrants applying for state benefits.

In a January 7, 2025 press release, McClure revealed that IDHS had been sending packets to noncitizens that included “pre-filled” voter registration applications already addressed to county clerk offices. He warned that such practices create confusion and could open the door to unlawful voter registration.… Continue Reading

Why Are Dead People Still on Illinois Voter Rolls?

Written by David E. Smith

On July 22, 2025, the Committee on House Administration held a hearing titled, “Clean Rolls, Secure Elections: Reviewing Voter List Maintenance Standards.” The hearing focused on the importance of maintaining accurate voter registration lists to protect the integrity of our elections.

The National Voter Registration Act of 1993 (NVRA), also known as the “Motor Voter Law,” was designed to increase voter participation in federal elections while also requiring states to maintain accurate and up-to-date voter rolls.… Continue Reading

SPOTLIGHT: Jim Marter for Congress (Bonus Episode)

Written by David E. Smith

It is vital that we send a serious conservative to Congress who will work diligently to address inflation, the economy, open borders, transgender insanity, parental rights, the size (and spending) of our federal government, religious liberty and lawfare, to name a few policy priorities. James Marter is the Republican nominee who is IFA’s pro-life/pro-family conservative choice for the 14th Congressional District.

Macon County Sheriff Election: Irregularities in Elections (Part 1)

Written by Kristi Shaffer

The right to vote is nearly sacred in the United States. Elections are closely monitored for an accurate count and assurance that the voices of the people are heard. At least that is the intended outcome of the election process, but, far too often, things go awry. Many of us watched back-and-forth recounts, audits, and legal battles in various states over the 2020 presidential election. However, there was a battle right here in Illinois for election legitimacy of which few were aware.… Continue Reading

SPOTLIGHT: David Shestokas To Run for Illinois Attorney General (Part 2)

Written by Jenna Smith

Welcome to part two of Monte Larrick’s conversation with David Shestokas, attorney and Republican candidate for Illinois Attorney General. In this Spotlight, the discussion turns to Governor Pritzker’s abuse of his emergency powers and executive orders – a deliberate overreach that has been enabled by the legislature’s abdication of their authority, as well as the failure of Kwame Raoul (the current Attorney General) to protect the public interests of the citizens of Illinois and to enforce the law set forth in the Illinois Emergency Management Agency Act.… Continue Reading

Two hundred and two years after achieving statehood, Illinois – the Land of Lincoln – is more commonly associated with political and electoral corruption than with Honest Abe. Carol Davis joins Monte Larrick to discuss President Trump’s refusal to concede the election and disturbing voting irregularities in specific cities and states.… Continue Reading

Illinoisans Protest Governor Pritzker’s Tyrannical Orders

Written by Austin Scott Davies

On Saturday, over a thousand Illinois citizens came together at the State Capitol in Springfield, Illinois, to declare their God-given rights in the face of oppression by Governor J.B. Pritzker and his administration. Since Pritzker declared every county in Illinois a disaster on March 9, 2020, he has issued executive orders that far exceed his authority and trample on the rights of Illinois citizens. Thousands of businesses and churches have been shuttered and thousands of livelihoods have been needlessly destroyed with no regard for constitutional constraints on government overreach.… Continue Reading
