Liberal journalists who decry an allegedly pusillanimous White House press corps under Trump never seem to spend 10 seconds considering how “courageous” this group was under Biden.
CNN “Chief Media Analyst” Brian Stelter tweeted:
“The Trump White House has sought to reshape the press corps in its favor this year, and today showcased how well the effort has succeeded.”
Stelter was unhappy that no one ruined President Donald Trump’s Q&A session in the Oval Office with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky.… Continue Reading

As the world of “public” broadcasting faces the rebuke of Congress rescinding its billions of dollars, it spurs a broader thought about the arrogance of liberal journalists at national media outlets. They’re not simply arrogant. They sound remarkably insincere.
Start with a man named Michael Tribble, the chief content officer at WAMU, the NPR station in the nation’s capital. He sent out a fundraising email after the U.S. Senate rebuke, oozing to their liberal supporters: “You’re part of a community that believes facts matter, that context matters, and that journalism has the power to bring us closer together.”… Continue Reading

A battle of perceptions has been underway since rioting began on June 6 in Los Angeles over the Trump administration’s crackdown on illegal immigrants.
The footage of burning vehicles and people throwing concrete blocks from an overpass to smash police car windshields might lead viewers to conclude that the “peaceful protests” have not been so peaceful.
You might even think President Trump was right to nationalize 2,000 troops from California’s National Guard and send in 700 Marines to protect federal buildings and quell the violence.… Continue Reading

The numbers speak for themselves. MSNBC is suffering through a ratings catastrophe as the disillusioned loyalists, who kept believing the network’s stable of left-wing hosts who continued to promise that Trump was an unelectable Hitler, have walked away.

Forever earnest Brian Stelter tweeted out his late-night appearance on CNN with Abby Phillip.
“MSNBC’s Maddow is right to be thinking aloud about the possible repercussions of a second Trump term,” he typed. “Other media types and political veterans are doing the same thing. What might “retribution” look like? What are the pressure points that Trump could target?”
In a softball email interview with Maddow, CNN’s Oliver Darcy warned about the MAGA crowd:
“… Some of his extremist allies even talking about jailing their fellow Americans.

The national media consider themselves essential in educating the electorate, so what happens when the electorate does not consider them a trustworthy guardian of democracy?
The Associated Press and the American Press Institute just released a poll on the 2024 election and found only 14% of their sample expressed “a great deal of confidence in election-related information they receive from national sources.” By contrast, 46% have little or no confidence at all in the information they receive from national news organizations.… Continue Reading

Anything can happen in 2024.
But right now, as the new year dawns, former President Donald Trump holds an insurmountable lead for the GOP presidential nomination, barring an unforeseen circumstance.
The former president also holds a slim but steady lead in polls over President Biden, notably in several battleground states.
Even a conviction on one or more of the many bogus charges filed in four different courts by Democratic prosecutors and being heard by Democratic judges would not derail him.… Continue Reading

As CNN looks for a new leader, former CNN host Brian Stelter proposed this as the most important question: “What should an anchor do when a guest says something untrue?”
The public could turn this question around: “What should a politician do when a CNN host says something untrue?” The Stelters of this world cannot imagine anyone at CNN would ever say anything false. They arrogantly presume they always defend the “truth.”… Continue Reading

CNN anchor Brianna Keilar is hosting a temporary program pompously titled “Democracy In Peril.” On Jan. 18, Keilar huffed: “We can’t discuss the tsunami of disinformation, jeopardizing American democracy, without talking about the mothership, Fox.”
On the very same day, NPR U.S. Supreme Court reporter Nina Totenberg aired a story claiming that U.S. Supreme Court Justice Neil Gorsuch was callously ignoring requests from Chief Justice John Roberts to wear a mask during oral arguments in deference to diabetes-suffering colleague Justice Sonia Sotomayor.… Continue Reading

Brian Stelter and Oliver Darcy, CNN’s in-house cheerleaders for censoring or squelching conservative media outlets, celebrated a letter in which Democrats on the U.S. House Energy and Commerce Committee pressed TV providers to punish right-wing spreaders of so-called “misinformation.”
California U.S. Representatives Anna Eshoo and Jerry McNerney asked, “What moral or ethical principles (including those related to journalistic integrity, violence, medical information, and public health) do you apply in deciding which channels to carry or when to take adverse actions against a channel?”… Continue Reading
