A People’s Politics

The Totalitarian Subversion of the Individual

Written by Terrell Clemmons

On April 12th, 1961, Russian cosmonaut Yuri Gagarin became the first man to leave Earth and orbit in space, and upon successful completion of the mission, a huge reception was held in his honor. At that reception, Soviet Premier Nikita Khrushchev reportedly cornered him and asked, “So tell me, Yuri, did you see God up there?”

Gagarin paused before answering, “Yes sir, I did.”

Khrushchev frowned.… Continue Reading

A Disturbing Glimpse Into the Manufacturing of Fake News

Written by Ken Blackwell

President Trump’s enemies provided yet another disturbing glimpse of the bona fide fake news factory into which the mainstream media has morphed.

Late last week, Ian Bremmer tweeted a made-up quote from President Trump. Bremmer is one of the most well-known foreign policy experts in America. He didn’t offer any hint that the statement was fake. “President Trump in Tokyo: ‘Kim Jong Un is smarter and would make a better President than Sleepy Joe Biden,’” Bremmer wrote.… Continue Reading

Buttigieg, Benson, Rubin, and Marriage

Written by Laurie Higgins

Presidential candidate Pete Buttigieg is not, in reality, married. Talk show host Dave Rubin is not, in reality, married. If or when Fox News contributor and Townhall editor Guy Benson legally marries his male fiancé, he will not, in reality, be married. Buttigieg and Rubin are no more married than Bruce Jenner is a woman.

Marriage, like biological sex, has an immutable, objective nature that the law cannot change. Neither the law nor judicial decisions can change intrinsically non-marital unions into marriages.Continue Reading

Liberal Nonsense on Parade

Written by Dr. Everett Piper

It’s “1984” and we are living in schizophrenic times. Dickensian times. Orwellian times. The best of times, but yet the worst.

Times where we demand the truth while reveling in our lies. Times of great material gain but times of even greater moral loss. Times of monetary advancement, yet times of shocking mental decline. Times of the pathology of the intellect and the reprobate mind. Times of calling good evil and evil good; bitter sweet and sweet bitter.… Continue Reading

Ben Shapiro: If You Don’t Agree With Me, You’re a Racist Who Likes Death Threats

Written by Ben Shapiro

On Monday, George Yancy, a black professor of philosophy at Emory University, wrote a lengthy piece in The New York Times detailing the awful death threats he has received from white racists. I can sympathize — throughout 2016, I received my fair share of death threats. But Yancy sees those death threats as representative of a deeper malignancy plaguing all of white America, not a sickness within a subset of the population.… Continue Reading

It’s Time to Call out the Left’s Hypocrisy

trumpprotest

Written by Dr. Michael Brown

Please allow me a moment to vent.

I assure you that it will be controlled venting, without vitriol, hyperbole, or vindictiveness.

But venting it will be. Shall we call it holy venting?

Perhaps it will also reflect some of the holy frustration in your own heart.

But first, some caveats.

I do understand why many Americans are deeply upset with Donald Trump’s election, and up until election day, I said that I respected those who could not vote for him, urging them instead not to vote for Hillary.… Continue Reading

How The Clintons Made Donald Trump

DEM 2016 Clinton

Written by Ben Shapiro

Donald Trump is a boor. He’s a vulgarian, a liar, an ignoramus. He has only the most cursory grasp of policy, a stentorian voice and a great big set of self-assurance. He’s winning the Republican nomination.

Why?

It is partly because of the Clintons.

While the media point and laugh at the Trump reality show carnival, they forget that the Clintons originally took us all to the circus. This week, we found out that Hillary Clinton’s email scandal now occupies the attention of 147 FBI agents, and that she will be questioned by the FBI.… Continue Reading
