Meet Kathleen Murray, the Illinois Family Action endorsed candidate for Illinois Senate District 21.
Ms. Murray sat down recently with Monte Larrick to discuss her qualifications to serve in the Illinois Senate, her proposed PARENTS BILL OF RIGHTS, her experience with the 2021 Oak Brook Mall Christmas shootings and the policy differences with her opponent.
On the need for a PARENTS BILL OF RIGHTS in Illinois Ms. Murray stated:
“Parents, not the government, have the authority and responsibility to raise their minor children according to their values, to determine the appropriate time to introduce sex related topics, to make decisions for the physical, emotional and mental wellness of their child and to control the transition from childhood to adulthood.”

Thomas Devore, candidate for Illinois Attorney General, spoke recently at the Crete Township Republican meeting on the dangers of the SAFE-T Act. During his presentation, he delivered a damning legal analysis of the Democrat’s SAFE-T Act (HB 3653) , which will fully go into effect on January 1, 2023. Most Democrats voted YES and every single Republican voted NO.
Devore warns that the ‘no-cash bail’ provision in the SAFE-T Act opens up Illinois courts to civil rights violations.… Continue Reading

Illinois Family Action is deeply concerned about the race for control over the Illinois Supreme Court. You should be too. After all, the Democrat Party has held majority control for 53 years. Since the Supreme Court is one-third of the branches of our state government, it’s worthwhile to ask if the Court has served us well in checking abuse in the other branches of Illinois government. Even a momentary consideration screams a resounding, “No!”… Continue Reading

On Sunday October 16, the Daily Herald urged a “No” vote on the top-of-the-ballot question on Amendment 1.
Illinois Family Action, like other freedom-loving and higher-taxes-loathing conservative organizations, is grateful for the newspaper’s rejection of Amendment 1. Interestingly, the Herald‘s editorial board also skewered some proponents who tried to use the abortion issue as a reason to vote for Amendment 1.
The Daily Herald on September 29 hosted a joint endorsement session with multiple newspapers around the state. … Continue Reading

In this week’s episode of Illinois Family Spotlight, we introduce listeners to Mr. Scott Greene, a Republican candidate for Illinois House District 86. He is stepping up to challenge State Representative Larry Walsh Jr. (D-Joliet), the incumbent since 2012. Value voters are hoping to help Greene win the election and bring some trucker sense to the Capitol in Springfield. Knowing that faith, family, and freedom are on the line, he promises to try his best to represent his district.… Continue Reading

Voters in Randolph County have the opportunity to write-in a great Christian conservative candidate for judge of the Circuit Court in the 24th Judicial Circuit. His name is James Odom. His wife of 20 years and their four children have lived in Sparta for 14 years, and have been very active in their local church.
Unfortunately, no Republican candidate filed to run for this spot which means there is a very real chance that the Democratic candidate, Jeremy R.… Continue Reading
Illinois Democrats still blame Republican governors while Biden administration implements new action

No more lies.
Since the first buses arrived in Chicago from southern-border states in late August, both Illinois Governor J.B. Pritzker (D) and Chicago Mayor Lori Lightfoot (D) have been publicly critical, even hinting at a criminal investigation into the actions of southern governors, in particular, Texas Governor Greg Abbott (R). Abbott’s “Operation Lone Star” gained national attention when it started to bus illegal immigrants from the Texas-Mexico border to the self-declared “sanctuary cities” of New York City, then Washington, D.C.… Continue Reading

The Biden administration’s long-awaited Department of Labor rule change for independent contractor classification under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) was made public Tuesday morning.
Labor Secretary Marty Walsh (D, Pro-Labor Unions) stated the following when the rule was announced:
“While independent contractors have an important role in our economy, we have seen in many cases that employers misclassify their employees as independent contractors, particularly among our nation’s most vulnerable workers.
“Misclassification deprives workers of their federal labor protections, including their right to be paid their full, legally earned wages.

As we head into the midterm election on November 8th, we wanted to make sure you were familiar with a great candidate running in your area for Illinois House of Representatives. We cannot emphasize how vitally important it is to elect conservative Republicans in this election. Jack Vrett is one of those candidates who can bring common sense back to Springfield.
At times there is little difference between candidates when it comes to their Big Government, tax-and-spend philosophies.… Continue Reading

On Monday morning of Columbus Day, the Chicago Tribune issued its first endorsement for the 2022 General Election, and it was a “No” vote on Amendment 1.
“We endorse a no vote. We support the rights of unions to represent their members and to bargain collectively for the best deal they can secure. But we do not see an Illinois threat to those rights, and we see this endorsement as an opening to skew the balance of power in the public sector to an unacceptable degree.”
