Dead-baby supporters U.S. Senators Dick Durbin and Tammy Duckworth, along with 42 collaborators helped defeat Senator Ben Sasse’s attempt to prohibit infanticide. Here’s an excerpt from the disingenuous form letter U.S. Senator Dick Durbin (D-IL) sends to constituents who plead with him to support the Born-Alive Abortion Survivors Protection Act which would require doctors to provide health care to babies who survive efforts to kill them:

The vote was 53 in favor and 44 opposed—including 2020 presidential hopefuls Booker, Gillibrand, Harris, Klobuchar, Sanders, and Warren—falling 7 votes short of the 60 needed to pass. A few Democrat U.S. Senators, including Illinois’ own Dick Durbin, have been criticized for their questioning of 7th Circuit Court of Appeals nominee Amy Coney Barrett on the grounds that they were attempting to impose a religious test in contravention of the U.S. Constitution.
