A Newsweek article from August chronicles the many Republicans who have openly pledged their support for Kamala Harris.
Their list includes former Vice President Dick Cheney, former U.S. Representatives Liz Cheney (Wyoming), Adam Kinzinger (Illinois), former Trump White House official Stephanie Grisham, and a group of over 200 staffers for previous presidential Republican candidates.
Enough Republicans are feeling likewise that Newsweek reports a program started by the Harris campaign—”Republicans for Harris”—which is intentionally catering to Republicans who are rejecting Trump.… Continue Reading

Recently, one of my former students sent me a link to a video. It comes from a TikTok account, canceledchristian, which contains content from a young woman raised in a Christian fundamentalist family who attended Pensacola Christian College.
The purpose of her account is ”Exposing Christian Fundamentalism.”
In the video linked above, this young woman asks two main questions of Christians who support Donald Trump.
1] Why do Christians believe Donald Trump is a Christian?… Continue Reading

Illinois Family Institute is calling for Christians throughout the state to a penitential period of prayer this fall, starting with a corporate prayer event, and followed by 40 days of individual prayer and fasting.
Sadly, Illinois has become the child sacrifice (abortion) epicenter of the Midwest while Chicago is, once again, experiencing shocking levels of street violence.
Government schools are not just failing students academically, but the focus of school time is now on social engineering, humanistic training, sexual immorality, teaching racism, revisionist history and other godless subject matters.… Continue Reading

How can Christians faithfully live in a culture that is actively opposed to God?
Martyn Iles, Attorney and Chief Ministry Officer at Answers in Genesis, answers this question at the 2024 ICHE Convention.
They [Daniel and his three friends] were now living in a pagan culture, in a pagan society. And the question they had to face is: How then shall we live? What should we do? How do we live fruitfully and faithfully for God in a culture that is completely different– that is actually God-opposing?

I shouldn’t have done it, but I couldn’t resist.
This week, I got into an exchange on social media with an evangelical pastor who was critical of Megan Basham’s new book, “Shepherds for Sale.” The book is a New York Times bestseller, and it exposes the overt leftward lurch of America’s evangelical denominations, publications, organizations and their leaders, also known as Big Eva.
In her book, Mrs. Basham does an excellent job of following the money and highlighting a fact: Influencers such as Russell Moore (editor in chief of Christianity Today magazine) and David French (contributing writer for The New York Times) and organizations such as the Council for Christian Colleges and Universities and the Trinity Forum are politically compromised because they are funded or influenced by billionaires such as George Soros who are spending hundreds of millions of dollars to infiltrate the church with pro-abortion politics.… Continue Reading

Vice President Kamala Harris spoke before the American Federation of Teachers (AFT) last Thursday. This was her first speech as a presidential candidate, since President Biden ended his campaign and endorsed Harris as the Democratic nominee.
Rather than hiding the fact that the AFT has had a tremendous amount of power and influence on the Biden administration and the country, Harris proudly announced it, thanking AFT president, Randi Weingarten, in particular saying that she has been a “great force” and “an incredible friend and adviser” to the president and her.… Continue Reading
