College of Lake County: Robert J. Tomei Jr. For Trustee

As a lifetime Lake County resident, where I currently live in Gurnee, education is in my DNA. I attended Warren Township High School from 2001-05, where I graduated among the highest in my class and received All-Conference football honors. In 2009, I also graduated with honors from Illinois State University as a “Diversity Scholar” with a Bachelor of Arts degree in English Studies, gathering a few credits from the College of Lake County along the way.… Continue Reading

Big Tech’s Masters of the Universe Fueling the Marxist Revolution and Destroying America

Written by Robert Knight

Big Tech was on the hot seat again last Thursday.

Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg, Google CEO Sundar Pichai and Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey testified again before Congress, this time in the U.S. House Energy and Commerce Committee virtual hearing. The three men were the essence of cool. Nothing ruffled them. Well, almost.

In fact, their cool, almost robotic articulation was unsettling, though it contrasted well with what unfolded at the other big Washington event on Thursday — President Biden’s first press conference.… Continue Reading

Barb Tolbert and Nicole Grimes for School Board District 125

Dear Friends and Neighbors,

It is important that you know that the IFA board of directors and I, support Barb Tolbert & Nicole Grimes in the upcoming Stevenson District 125 School Board Election.

Like them we believe in good government which is reflected in their campaign platform of  accountability, choice and transparency. Both are very capable and qualified and if you care about having a voice in our children’s education and how your tax dollars are spent, we urge you to vote for Tolbert and Grimes in the race for Stevenson School Board on or before April 6. … Continue Reading

Three Strong, Independent Moms Endorsed by IFA for District 211 School Board

Dear Friends and Neighbors,

For Schaumburg/Palatine Township High School District 211, serving Palatine, Fremd, Schaumburg, Hoffman Estates and Conant High Schools, there are three seats up this election. The IFA board of directors and I strongly recommend voting for Kristen SteelRobi Vollkommer, and Jessica Hinkle. All 3 are moms in the district and are the best candidates to represent parents and students. They are not funded by the unions and are opposed to the radical idea of biological males having access to female locker rooms and sports teams.Continue Reading

The Pro-Biden Press Corps Is Deeply Embarrassing

Written by Tim Graham

President Biden’s first formal press conference is in the books, and it was deeply embarrassing to anyone who thinks the media’s job is to hold presidents accountable.

Taxpayer-enabled PBS White House correspondent Yamiche Alcindor was the worst. She complimented the president, saying: “You’ve said over and over again that immigrants shouldn’t come to this country right now; this isn’t the time to come. That message is not being received. Instead, the perception of you that got you elected as a moral, decent man is the reason why a lot of immigrants are coming to this country and are trusting you with unaccompanied minors.”… Continue Reading

A Lenten Meditation on Cancel Culture

Written by Jerry Newcombe

Every day seems to bring new examples in the news of our cancel culture. Cancel culture is a cancer to our culture.

The examples border on the ridiculous:

  • Alfred Hitchcock’s thriller “Psycho” is sexist.
  • The Muppets require a disclaimer from Disney.
  • Dr. Seuss, the famous children’s author, becomes radioactive for reportedly having engaged in racist drawings.
  • Mr. Potato Head is sexist.
  • Disney classics Dumbo and Peter Pan allegedly perpetuate racist stereotypes.
  • Cartoon skunk Pepe Le Pew is a rapist, and Speedy Gonzalez embodies an anti-Mexican message.

A Freedom Spring After the Dark Winter of Tyranny?

Written by Daniel Horowitz

It’s not just when you’re having fun that time flies. I can’t believe it’s nearly 11 months since my first article noting that locking down and masking children is a crime against humanity divorced from all science. Yet here we are almost a year later, entering a new spring season, with children being forced to mask in school (assuming they are even in school) and being wrongly treated as vectors of spread rather than the future of our country.… Continue Reading

Don’t Let the Cancel Culture Take Down State Representative Chris Miller

Written by David E. Smith

Chris and Mary Miller are perhaps the most conservative elected Republican lawmakers in the state of Illinois. Inevitably, this makes them prime targets of the Left’s hate-and-smear machine.

Chris Miller is a state representative serving the 110th District at the Capitol in Springfield since 2019. His wife Mary Miller is a freshman Congresswoman serving the 15th District at the U.S. Capitol in Washington D.C. They are a hardworking Christian couple who have raised seven children, operate a family ranch and farm, and are well-respected leaders in their local church and community.Continue Reading

Climate Change Deliberation: Taking Occam’s Razor to Proxy Data

Written by Robert T. Smith

It is quite often the case that the simplest explanation is the correct explanation. The namesake for this principle comes from the English philosopher and theologian, Franciscan friar William of Ockham. It is called Occam’s razor. From various sources, Occam’s razor is a principle of parsimony or frugality used in logic and problem-solving. It states that among competing hypotheses, the hypothesis with the fewest assumptions should be selected. Perhaps Occam’s razor can be appropriately applied to many of our current issues.… Continue Reading
