This Political Moment is No Laughing Matter

Written by Calvin Lindstrom

There have been a lot of laughs at President Joseph R. Biden’s expense since his disastrous debate with former President Trump on Thursday, June 28.

Democrats have been in a state of panic since then.

USA Today on June 30 reported the shocking results of a CBS/You Gov National Survey in which 72% of voters –  as well as nearly half of his party – said they do not believe Biden has the mental or cognitive capacity to serve as president.… Continue Reading

Biden and the Press: Is He the Bumper-Bowling President?

Written by Tim Graham

Is President Joe Biden treating the press better than former President Donald Trump did? It’s a low bar to argue he doesn’t describe the media as “enemies of the people.” Is he really treating them as they view themselves — as representatives of the people? Or is he not interested in addressing the people? Are they all too negative?

Ben Smith at Semafor.com reported on the White House holiday party for journalists, described as a chance “to dispel his main problem with the U.S.… Continue Reading

Is a Federal Ban on Abortion After 15 Weeks Gestation Even Constitutional?

Written by David Fowler

Controversy over a federal ban on abortion after 15 weeks of gestation proposed by a national pro-life political action committee prompted Ronna McDaniel, chair of the Republican National Committee, to tell Republican candidates to “talk about abortion. . . . The gist of it is, that local GOP officials are encouraging Republicans to vote early in 2024. The campaign is meant to maximize pre-Election Day voting through in-person voting, absentee voting, and ballot harvesting where legal.… Continue Reading

Media Hostile to Republicans While Democrats’ ‘Gaffes’ Ignored

Written by Robert Knight

If the lockstep media are good at anything, it’s repeating phrases out of context until they’re a mantra of shame.

This is done only to Republicans, of course. When Democrats commit awful misstatements, the media dismiss them as harmless “gaffes.”

By the way, if you think otherwise, you’re a “lying, dog-faced pony soldier,” as President Joe Biden said to a student. She was crushed, while the media gave Mr. Biden cover, saying he was only “joking.”… Continue Reading

The Left in 2018: Unhinged

Written by John Biver

The Republican National Committee has released a new video that has pleased a lot of conservatives. The RNC is not known for showing a willingness to fight. Is it possible that that President Donald Trump’s leadership is changing some minds over at the typically staid national committee?

There has been talk about an oncoming “second civil war” in America as the political divide grows, the center shrinks, and the number of shared values appears to decrease.… Continue Reading
