The Fallout Continues

Moderators

Written by Gary L.Bauer

The fallout from Wednesday’s contentious CNBC debate continues. Politico reports that the Republican presidential candidates are taking matters into their own hands.

Representatives from at least nine campaigns will be meeting in Washington, D.C., Sunday to discuss how they can force changes to the debate structure. No one from the Republican National Committee (RNC), which set up this process with the media, has been invited.

The candidates’ frustrations run the gamut from the questioning to the reliance on national polls to determine who makes it into the prime time debates.… Continue Reading

CNBC Moderators’ Low Performance Should Be A Lesson To The RNC

By StacyOnTheRight

The CNBC debate is memorable for many reasons, with the complete lack of preparedness of the moderators standing out as unfortunate circumstance number one. At numerous points during the evening, candidates called out the moderators for the low quality of their questions. Becky Quick was obviously biased against the candidates and repeatedly steered the discussion to “Pay Inequality” only to be viciously rebuffed. At one point, Quick couldn’t remember where she’d heard that Donald Trump was critical of Mark Zuckerberg’s immigration stance.… Continue Reading

Ben Carson Is Right to Compare Abortion with Slavery

Chuckie Todd

Written by David French

This weekend, Ben Carson did what he does best. He clearly and plainly stated a mainstream conservative view that most Republican politicians dare not utter — in this case, that the debate over abortion is comparable to the debate over slavery. Speaking to NBC’s Chuck Todd, Carson said: “During slavery — and I know that’s one of those words you’re not supposed to say, but I’m saying it — during slavery, a lot of slave owners thought they had the right to do whatever they wanted to that slave, anything that they chose.… Continue Reading

Huckabee Schools Stephanopoulos On Kim Davis

During Sunday morning’s This Week on ABC, progressive socialist media personality George Stephanopoulos interviewed former Governor Mike Huckabee over his strong support of Kim Davis, the Kentucky clerk sent to jail for repeatedly refusing to comply with unjust judicial orders to issue same-sex “marriage” licenses.

George Will and the GOP Divide

???????????

Written by Jeffrey Lord

In every town large enough to house a college there is a faculty lounge at the back of which sits the local George Will, nursing his ever-present pipe and innumerable elitist delusions.

Because the actual George Will is a syndicated columnist, he can turn himself into an unprecedentedly and incorrigibly sniffy public preacher. It is his right to use his considerable intelligence as he pleases. His supercilious performance and its haughty disdain of civic life are costs of freedom that an open society must be prepared to pay.

DNC Chairman Dumbfounded When Asked About the Difference Between Democrats and Socialists

Debbie_Wasserman_Schultz

Written by James Longstreet

Democratic National Committee Chairman Debbie Wasserman Schultz got a jolt of introspection, a quick glance at oneself, like walking by a picture window and being surprised by the reflection.

Chris Matthews, bravely admitting that he once knew the answer to this question, sought the answer from Debbie.

“What is the difference between a Democrat and a Socialist?” Matthews asked.  Wasserman Schultz was at a loss (video):

She didn’t answer the question. … Continue Reading

Scott Walker Says It’s Time GOP Concedes Defeat on ‘Gay’ Marriage

Walker

Written by Aaron Rupar

During an appearance yesterday on Meet the Press, Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker said he thinks it’s time his party concedes defeat and moves past the marriage equality issue.

Walker’s remarks come on the heels of the release of new nationwide polling showing that 51 percent of Republicans under the age of 30 support marriage equality at the state level. As Mother Jones reports, according to the polling, “the only major demographic that still opposes same-sex marriage is white, evangelical Christians.”… Continue Reading

Leftist Media Meets U.S. Senator Ted Cruz

U.S. Senator Ted Cruz made a campaign stop in Beaumont, Texas, where he was asked repeated questions by KBMT-TV’s Kevin Steele about the issue of gay marriage. Cruz finally turned the table and owned Steele on this issue.

Cruz doesn’t shrink back like so many establishment Republicans do! God bless him for speaking truth in love.… Continue Reading

When Hillary Says “Always,” She Doesn’t Always Mean Always

?????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????

Written by Dr. Michael L. Brown

I believe Hillary Clinton is now telling the truth regarding her views on same-sex “marriage.” I just don’t believe she was telling the truth in the past, especially when she expressed her opposition to it. Can anyone say “Shades of Barack Obama,” whose views on the subject also “evolved”?

When it comes to President Obama, David Axelrod has now confirmed what seemed obvious for years, namely, that he lied about his views on redefining marriage so as not to drive away black (and other morally conservative) voters.… Continue Reading

For Honest Assessment of Chicago’s Financial Woes, Read Out-of-Town Papers

Detroit-Debt-per-Capita

If you’re a close reader of the two Chicago metro dailies, you know both the Sun-Times and the Tribune are reluctant to talk much about Chicago’s dire financial situation. The one exception is when the union members in the press are trying to help the union candidate for mayor, Jesus “Chuy” Garcia. Then, they’re quick to point out that Rahm Emanual is a rich guy, who hangs out with other rich guys like Gov. Bruce Rauner.… Continue Reading
