David Smith welcomes State Representative Darren Bailey (R-Louivlle) to this edition of the IFA Spotlight podcast as they continue their conversation on political corruption in Illinois. In case you missed the memo: Illinois is Michael Madigan’s playground and he just lets us PAY in it. Standing in stark contrast to Speaker Madigan and his minions, Rep. Bailey is a first-term, stalwart Christian statesman who represents the 109th district who just announced that he plans to run for the 55th State Senate District in 2020 to replace the retiring Republican incumbent.… Continue Reading

King George couldn’t hold a candle to the judicial despotism we are governed by some 12 score and three years after the colonists rebelled against what they thought were “intolerable acts.” Sure, there was some taxation without representation going on in the 1770s, but I think the colonists would have taken that any day if they were to see in their crystal ball the severity of today’s social transformation without representation.
We celebrate so much more than the founding of a new nation on July 4.… Continue Reading

Talk about biting the hand that feeds you. I can’t fathom the ingratitude of American soccer star Meghan Rapinoe’s attitude toward America. Writer Warner Todd Huston notes,
Rapinoe raised eyebrows in the 2018 season by taking a knee during the playing of the national anthem even though she is playing for the U.S. Women’s National soccer team. Her taking a knee only came to an end starting in the 2019 season because the team passed a rule requiring players to stand during the anthem.

[Last week], as I watched during the Democratic primary debate on NBC, it seemed like I was watching a political debate in Cuba or Venezuela. It was truly a battle of who can offer the most free stuff and who can shame America the most.
For example, two of the candidates, U.S. Sen. Elizabeth Warren (MA) and New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio, vowed to abolish private health insurance companies and offer “Medicare for All.”… Continue Reading

Collusion, deception, and lies – that’s the tried and true game plan Illinois politicians pulled from their playbook at the end of the recent General Assembly session. And while our elected representatives are still basking in the glow of victory, we, the taxpayers and their employers, are beginning to experience the costly consequences of their end run tactics.
In our Spotlight this week is former State Representative Jeanne Ives and her address to attendees at an event in Rockford hosted by Concerned Citizens for American.… Continue Reading

In the past two months, the news media was filled with pictures and articles about the melting of the Greenland ice sheet. Unfortunately, to their dismay, the sensationalists’ dream of a Greenland melt was halted when the ice levels jumped back up to record highs.
This is just one of the countless incidences in which climate doomsayers have hijacked weather phenomena and used them to push their climate doomsday theories.
Greenland is a massive island covered mostly in ice.… Continue Reading

One reason many Americans don’t trust those “fact-checker” websites is because to know them is to see right through their incessantly liberal worldview. These impartial arbiters of truth routinely defend Democrats as being “Mostly True” on everything while savaging Republicans as just the opposite. It’s not just Donald Trump, mind you. It’s Ted Cruz. And Rick Santorum. And Newt Gingrich. And pretty much anyone who challenges liberal orthodoxy.… Continue Reading
