Last May we published a column, “Why They Must Destroy Ben Carson.” It has been determined that a black Christian conservative, especially a political outsider with credentials as a life-saving physician, just cannot be allowed to succeed in politics. Carson must be destroyed.
His life as a poor boy with a temper is now coming in for serious media scrutiny. Who did he hit? And why?
In an attempt to defend this assault on the character of Benjamin Carson, that the media are fair and balanced because they “vetted” Barack Obama as a candidate by checking out reports that he once had a girlfriend, who “may have been a composite character.”… Continue Reading

When President Barack Obama emphatically declared, in the wake of the recent Oregon shooting, that he intended to politicize his campaign to implement “common sense gun control” (which in his mind means Australian-like confiscation) my mind turned to a man most unlike Obama, the Greek philosopher Socrates. Socrates died because his fellow citizens politicized everything, and did not recognize individual liberties. So when Obama calls on Americans to politicize “gun control” he is deliberately and mischievously using the language of democracy to promote tyranny, just as Athenian “democrats” tyrannized their nation two millennia ago.… Continue Reading

Speaking on NBC’s “Meet The Press” on Sunday, Dr. Ben Carson was asked if a president’s religious beliefs mattered. He said they did, and, when pressed on the issue, said no Muslim should be President of the United States (insert Obama joke here) and that in fact Islam is in conflict with the U.S. Constitution:
Chuck Todd: Should a president’s faith matter? Should your faith matter to voters?
Ben Carson: Well I guess it depends on what that faith is.

U.S. Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY) has shown his cowardice. He’s so afraid of President Barack Obama that he won’t even try anymore.
On Monday, McConnell proved he has no stomach for a fight to defund Planned Parenthood, despite overwhelming evidence that it is butchering babies and selling their body parts. I’d say he has no backbone either.
In a radio interview, McConnell said that if he defunded the abortion giant in upcoming spending bills, Obama would veto it, thus shutting down the government and blaming Republicans. … Continue Reading

I am pleased to report that Rowan County, Kentucky, clerk Kim Davis has been released from jail. But I have been very disappointed by the parade of leading Republicans — Donald Trump, Governor Jeb Bush, U.S. Senator Marco Rubio, Governor Chris Christie and others — who are distancing themselves from Davis.
This sorry episode is yet another example of our side playing by one set of rules while the other side plays by its own.… Continue Reading

New Jersey Governor Chris Christie has been languishing around three percent in the presidential polls. After his surrender on religious liberty during a Fox News Sunday interview, it is my sincere hope that his support falls to zero.
When asked if Christians could be exempted from participating in same-sex weddings, Christie offered a cramped definition of religious liberty that Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton could applaud.
“Religious institutions should be able to decide how they conduct their religious activity,” Christie said.… Continue Reading

In Washington, D.C., “safe” is every politician’s, lobbyist’s and campaign fund-raiser’s favorite four-letter word, physically and politically, especially in the U.S. House, where the Republicans hold a 245-188 majority (with two vacancies).
Of the 435 seats up for election in 2016, according to nonpartisan prognosticators like the Rothenberg and Gonzales Political Report, Rollcall, Sabato’s Crystal Ball and the Cook Political Report, only 32 are “in play,” which means susceptible to a party switch next year.… Continue Reading

Mark Levin is fed up with the Republican leadership in Congress.
A day before U.S. Rep. Mark Meadows, R-N.C., filed a motion to remove U.S. House Speaker John Boehner from his leadership post, Levin called on Boehner and U.S. Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell to resign.
At the Young America’s Foundation’s National Student Conference in Washington, D.C., the popular talk radio host and author spoke with The Daily Signal about the future of Republican Party.

Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump praised President Barack Obama in 2009 in his book Think Like A Champion and on CNN’s Larry King Live.
Trump, who is currently hovering near the top of the Republican field in recent presidential polls, wrote of Obama in his book, “what he has done is amazing.”… Continue Reading

The best line President Obama delivered in his 2015 State of the Union Address was not one written for him by his speechwriters. When he said he would not be on the ballot again, Republicans who had just taken over both Houses of Congress stood and applauded.
Good naturedly, but with a bit of sarcasm, Mr. Obama reminded his opponents that he won both times he was on the national ballot.… Continue Reading
