As he is wont to do, president-elect Donald J. Trump has re-branded the Green New Deal, labeling it the “Green New Scam.”
The Green New Deal was first introduced in 2019 by U.S. Representative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) and U.S. Senator Edward J. Markey (D-MA), both members of the left-wing Congressional Progressive Caucus. This big-government plan proposes a 10-year mobilization to tackle a so-called “climate crisis” by mandating a transition away from fossil fuels to supposedly “renewable” energy sources – many of which rely on government subsidies – with the goal of achieving “net-zero” emissions.… Continue Reading

Point and laugh at The Hollywood Reporter. After four years of Team Biden pressuring Big Tech to crush dissent on social media, not to mention Team Biden pressuring the news media to crush any word of President Joe Biden‘s mental decline, they’re going to warn the world about Donald Trump and censorship.
The silly headline on this silly article is “Trump’s Media Censorship Arsenal Is Growing.” Beware, says the subhead: “A new roadmap for the president-elect and his advisors to chill free speech has surfaced as he targets networks critical of him.”… Continue Reading

State Representative Hillary Cassel, a Florida legislator, announced that she was switching parties.
“As a proud Jewish woman, I have been increasingly troubled by the Democratic Party’s failure to unequivocally support Israel and its willingness to tolerate extreme progressive voices that justify or condone acts of terrorism,” she posted on Twitter. “I’m constantly troubled by the inability of the current Democratic Party to relate to everyday Floridians.”
“For eight years, I was the only Republican Jew in the Florida Legislature.… Continue Reading

On a recent X post, U.S. Senator Bernie Sanders (I-VT) lamented the level of homelessness in the U.S. Sanders declared,
This is the richest country on earth. 770,000 Americans should not be homeless, and 20 million more should not be spending over half their incomes on rent or a mortgage. We need to invest in affordable housing, not Trump’s massive tax breaks for billionaires.
Sanders post was in response to an AP post that revealed that “the U.S.… Continue Reading

Joe Biden may still hold the office of President of the United States, but the media are treating him like he’s anything but a newsmaker. For much of Biden’s presidency, reporters were much more energized to cover the apparent menace of Donald Trump than agitate the officials that were always hiding Biden. Now he seems invisible.
On Dec. 15, the president spoke to a Democratic National Committee holiday party. Any reporter would expect a pep talk, with all the echoes of “we’ll get them next time.”… Continue Reading

The corporate media will not tell you this, but as a resident of Illinois, you need to know that during the 103rd General Assembly (2023-2024), more than 9,800 bills were filed during this legislative session. Thus far, Governor JB Pritzker has signed 1,057 of these bills into law. And since the session isn’t officially through until January 8, 2025, that number may yet grow.
On New Year’s Day, 293 of those laws will take effect.… Continue Reading

If you are not familiar with the annual “Festivus Report,” by U.S. Senator, Dr. Rand Paul (R-KY), and are concerned with out-of-control government spending, you will want to read this short summary.
The “Festivus Report” is a mind-blowing critique of irresponsible (if not reckless) federal government spending. The 2024 report highlights $1,008,313,329,626.12 (that’s over $1 trillion) in government waste, detailing the ways our taxpayer dollars were used unnecessarily and/or frivolously.… Continue Reading

Merry Christmas! May the peace and love of “the baby born in Bethlehem” be in your heart this season and throughout the year. It is an amazing gift to be able to freely celebrate our faith and to proclaim the birth of our Savior who came to give life and give it abundantly (John 10:10).
Our Christian faith is centered on the belief that our perfectly holy, omnipotent God had a virgin give birth to His only Son who became a carpenter, a healer and a teacher.… Continue Reading

In 1990, the rock band Poison released one of its signature songs, “Something to Believe In.” The song was a call for something positive, something of substance.
In desperation and sorrow, the band called out for something to believe in. Throughout America and beyond, it became an anthem sung by hundreds of thousands of fans who were frustrated with reality as they saw it. The song resonated with many in the early 1990s as it spoke of the tangible emptiness of a life devoid of purpose.… Continue Reading

Don’t call PolitiFact an “independent fact-checker.” When they assemble to select their “Lie of the Year,” they have singled out Donald Trump in 2015, 2016, 2017, 2019, 2020 and 2021. No Democrat has been tagged with this dishonor since Trump arrived on the scene.
It was Trump again this year, as PolitiFact tweeted: “A lie marked a town and its residents in the name of campaign rage. It was absurd. It was consequential.… Continue Reading
