For partisan Democrats, when the word “Benghazi” comes up, the sophisticated thing to do is roll your eyes. If the name Charles Woods comes up, the normal thing to do is say, “Who?”
So let’s talk about Cindy Sheehan for a moment instead. Remember her?
For a while, she was the Joan of Arc of the anti-war Left. The mother of a U.S. Army specialist killed in Iraq, Sheehan held a vigil outside President George W.… Continue Reading

The more naïve members of the Hillary Clinton campaign have long dreaded the release of Michael Bay‘s factual account of the Benghazi attack, 13 Hours. The more sophisticated members of that campaign were less worried. They were confident their friends in the media would scare off all but the most deluded “tea-baggers.”
Yes, the media will try. They are trying. I am not sure, however, that they will succeed. In the age of social media, word of mouth is much more significant a force than it ever was before. … Continue Reading

Stinkin’ Canadian. Dang feriner, conspirin’ to come over here and replace our delicious, crispy, all-American bacon with that floppy, communist, Canadian crap. And Budweiser? Like your Budweiser? Forget it. If he’s elected, it’s nothing but that skunky Molson swill for you, my friend. Football? Banned. It’s all sticks, pucks and missing teeth from here on out. A wall on the southern border? ISIS? TB-infected Mesicans and Central Americans? Ha! A mere diversion.… Continue Reading

As we begin 2016, we can be overjoyed by the fact that God is in control and that He loves us. As the primary elections approach, we worry about the future of families, our nation, and our world, but, we are comforted by Paul’s words:
“We know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.” – Romans 8:28
Illinois Family Action and its PAC are dedicated to defending life, marriage, family, and our constitutional rights.… Continue Reading

Americans’ political ideology remained essentially stable in the past year, with conservatives retaining the barest of advantages over moderates in Americans’ self-identified political views, 37% vs. 35%. Liberals held firm at 24%.

Conservatives have outnumbered moderates as well as liberals in the U.S. population each year since 2009, coinciding with Barack Obama’s presidency. Before that, spanning George W. Bush’s presidency, from 2001 to 2008, the two groups were about tied. Through most of Bill Clinton’s presidency, from 1993 to 2000, moderates had a slight edge.… Continue Reading

The Census Bureau has delivered its annual Christmas gift to demographic junkies: its estimates of the populations of the 50 states and the District of Columbia for mid-2015.
They show where the nation has been growing since the April 2010 Census headcount, a period that follows the end of the 2007–09 recession and includes three-fourths of the Obama presidency. They show what states Americans have been moving in and out of, and what states have attracted the most immigrants.… Continue Reading

For the past several years, I’ve reported and tweeted on all the rotten aspects of the federal Common Core “standards” scheme — including dumbed-down curricula, technology boondoggles, intrusive data-mining and tracking, D.C. lobbying groups, corruption of math education, and left-wing indoctrination.
One aspect of the Fed Ed/Big Business alliance that has deserved far greater and deeper media scrutiny is the windfall that huge textbook companies have reaped from “alignment” with the phony government standards.… Continue Reading

Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton listens at a campaign town hall even in Portsmouth, New Hampshire on Dec. 29, 2015.
Planned Parenthood announced its endorsement of Democratic presidential hopeful Hillary Clinton.
The endorsement is the first in the largest abortion provider’s roughly 100-year-long existence.
In a statement released by Planned Parenthood Action Fund, the group labeled Clinton the “best presidential candidate for reproductive rights, hands down.”
“Hillary Clinton holds the strongest record on reproductive rights of all presidential contenders in not just this election, but in American history.… Continue Reading

Billy Graham, America’s beloved evangelist, saved many souls during his lifetime at massive gatherings he called “crusades.” His son, Reverend Franklin Graham, launched a new crusade this week aimed at saving America.
Franklin Graham made headlines recently when he announced that he had switched his political registration and had become an independent, something many conservatives have done in recent years. But, as we reported and the media ignored, Graham was in no way telling people to abandon the culture war and avoid the political process.… Continue Reading
