Hospitals need to back off their authoritarian “we know best” posture and respect what a patient’s family wants.
At 10 a.m. Saturday, Royal London Hospital stopped life support for 12-year-old Archie Battersbee, against his parents’ wishes. He was dead by 12.15 p.m. Millions had followed his case since April, when his mother found him unconscious on the floor.
Apparently, he took a dangerous dare promoted on TikTok to hold his breath until he blacked out.… Continue Reading

Everyone should be deeply troubled by the recent report that the Army is on pace to miss its recruiting goal by dozens of thousands of troops and by the report that followed a few days later, alleging that the Border Patrol is running short of agents in Arizona and Texas. The border is so porous these days that even mayors of sanctuary cities are starting to complain about illegal immigration.
So, what is Congress doing about these crises?… Continue Reading

Once upon a time, Democrats were terrified that a power-mad White House would ignore the “will of the people.” They warned of dire consequences if the president did end-runs around the U.S. Congress.
That was between 2017 and 2021. They subverted the Trump presidency every way they could while he painted within constitutional lines. Now, with an eye on November, they are urging President Biden to go “beast mode.” He already has.… Continue Reading

One political party appears to be turning more radical by the minute. Recent polls suggest the Democrat Party holds extreme positions regarding the U.S. Constitution and the structure of the U.S. Supreme Court.
Nearly one in four Democrats (23%) say the U.S. Constitution is “no longer a relevant document,” based on a new poll from Echelon Insights. Additionally, a recent Heartland/Rasmussen survey found nearly half of Democrats (49%) believe the Constitution “should be mostly or completely rewritten.”… Continue Reading

As with so many other words, phrases, and conditions, the term “gaslighting” has become little more than a pejorative insult in our over-politicized culture, hurled with both increasing frequency and little regard for its actual meaning.
- If someone adamantly and forcefully pushes a position that others disagree with, they are slapped with the label “gaslighter.”
- If someone backed into a corner cites a bogus statistic in an attempt to justify their position, they are called out for “gaslighting.”

We need not steal people’s guns without due process, as Joe Biden suggests, nor do we need to send in the National Guard to protect America’s cities, as Donald Trump recently suggested. What Chicago’s experience demonstrates is that we simply need to lock up the gun felons and career criminals who have already been found guilty through due process. It’s not so much about funding the police or drastic measures of having the military occupy American cities, but about simply locking up the criminals.

If you want to know what Democrats are attacking at any given time, just watch how they label something. It’s the opposite of what it would mean to any normal person.
For instance, “reproductive care” is not about reproducing, that is, having babies. It’s about abortion or preventing pregnancies.
“Gender affirming” or “gender confirming” policies do not verify actual genders. Instead, they deny biology and elevate delusions into enforced falsehoods. They should be called “gender denying” policies.… Continue Reading

More people than ever realize the media are gaslighting us. But I wonder if they know just how much.
You can lie with falsehoods or you can omit or obscure inconvenient facts. Just watch any “mainstream” media coverage of the Jan. 6 show trial. On second thought, why would you want to?
I thought about all this while reading the “Fact Checker” column by Glenn Kessler in The Washington Post.
Mr.… Continue Reading

This past Wednesday, President Joe Biden announced a list of new executive orders he will impose on the American people. Included in King Joe‘s royal decree was a call to immediately print another $2.3 billion of Monopoly money (something that used to be known as the U.S. dollar). The reason for cranking up the presses at the Treasury Department? Global warming. “This is an emergency,” our dear leader bellowed. “I said it last week.… Continue Reading
