Prayer and Faithfullness in a Time of Turmoil

Christian conservatives across the nation clearly see what the biased media refuses to report: leftists are intentionally escalating tensions in Minnesota, with some openly advocating violence, and even armed confrontation, against federal agents. Antifa thugs have gone so far as to call for a “guerrilla war.”

Irresponsible politicians like Governor JB Pritzker, U.S. Senator Tammy Duckworth and Chicago Mayor Brandon Johnson are in lockstep agreement with their counterparts in Minnesota Governor Tim Walz, U.S. Senator Amy Klobuchar and Minneapolis Mayor Jacob Frey. Each one of these Democrats are working overtime to embolden political violence. 

Rather than supporting federal agents who are carrying out their sworn duty to enforce our nation’s immigration laws, these officials are quick to condemn law enforcement while fueling unrest with reckless anti-Trump and anti-ICE rhetoric—rhetoric that emboldens agitators and escalates chaos. In fact, last year JB Pritzker stood before New Hampshire Democrats and openly called for “mass protests, for mobilization, for disruption,” insisting that Republicans “cannot know a moment of peace.” (You can read his words in context: or watch the entire 30 minute speech HERE.)

To make matters worse, Antifa-aligned radical TikTok influencer Danesh Noshirvan has publicly called for the formation of armed left-wing militias in every major U.S. city to confront U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents. In a viral video, Noshirvan referred to ICE as “Trump’s racist army” and urged citizens to physically block and “fight back” against federal law enforcement.

This is not an isolated incident. A Fox News report highlights an anonymous 12-page letter recently sent to a Republican Party chapter in Sonoma County, California, calling for an all-out violent “war” against ICE agents and urging that they be sent “home in a body bag.” The letter includes passages that mock federal agents and falsely portray them as an invading army.

The document reportedly goes even further, containing detailed instructions for constructing improvised explosive devices and using graphic language to target ICE personnel and their supporters. The local GOP chapter has since turned the letter over to law enforcement.

Another TikTok user, monkeydbeans0, reportedly posted a video on January 12, 2026, declaring, “We need to kill these people,” referring to ICE agents and dismissing them as “buffed up mall cops” and “gun-trigger-happy Proud Boys,” citing the death of Renee Good as justification for lethal violence.

The violence is not isolated to Minneapolis. Tensions have erupted in multiple cities, including Portland, Oregon, where federal agents have shot and wounded individuals during protests related to federal enforcement actions, and demonstrators have clashed with law enforcement outside ICE facilities.

Many conservatives are convinced that these left-wing networks are “vast” and “well-funded.” These groups are linked to funding protest activities through dark-money channels, with networks tied to Arabella Advisors and its affiliated nonprofits — including the New Venture Fund, Sixteen Thirty Fund, Open Society Foundations, and Windward Fund — managing millions in largely anonymous donations to liberal causes, voter mobilization, and advocacy efforts.

Conservative podcaster Benny Johnson posted a video showing journalist James O’Keefe and his O’Keefe Media Group team in downtown Minneapolis amid protests following a shooting, where they say they were harassed and threatened by a hostile crowd — with bottles thrown and violent threats made as they tried to report on the scene; O’Keefe said he and his team narrowly avoided harm and that undercover reporters remain inside the mob as tensions escalate.

Andy Ngo is a journalist, and author known for his coverage of antifa, protests, and far-left activism posted this short video about the tactics that are being used to incite violence:

This is all deeply disturbing. The rise of left-wing political violence is not merely partisan hostility, but open moral rebellion—a clear sign of our culture’s spiritual and moral decline that threatens the very foundations of a civilized society. As I wrote in an article last October, this moment brings to mind Jesus’ warning in Matthew 24:12: “Because lawlessness will abound, the love of many will grow cold.”

We shouldn’t be surprised, the Apostle Paul warned in 2 Timothy 3:2–5 that in the last days, people would become

“lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, unloving, unforgiving, slanderers, without self-control, brutal, despisers of good, traitors, headstrong, haughty, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God, having a form of godliness but denying its power. And from such people turn away!”

Does that not describe the spirit of our age? We’ve cultivated a generation that values self-expression over self-control, outrage over humility, and vengeance over virtue.

Our Christian Response

Faithful citizenship in our self-governing republic flows from our love for God and neighbor. Scripture calls us to seek the welfare of our communities, to pray for those in authority, and to pursue what is good, just, and peaceable. As Christians, we engage the public square not out of fear or anger, but out of obedience and hope—trusting that self-government requires self-control shaped by God’s truth. Biblical citizenship means living with humility, speaking with grace, and acting with courage, always remembering that our ultimate allegiance is to Christ, the true King.

We must lift up our federal law enforcement agents and leaders in prayer. Ask the Lord to grant them divine protection as they serve in high-risk, high-stakes environments—shielding them from physical harm, deception, and spiritual attack, including discouragement. Pray that their resolve would be strengthened and that they would be given courage, wisdom, and discernment in every decision, especially in moments of crisis and moral challenge.

We must also pray for the protection of their families, as godless agitators seek to dox, intimidate, and bully spouses, children, and even church communities.

Pray against the forces of chaos and division that seek to sow hostility between federal law enforcement and the communities they serve. Ask that reason and moral clarity would invade the hearts and minds of elected officials, guiding their words and actions to be rooted in truth, mercy, and accountability. Pray that God would turn hearts toward cooperation, understanding, and mutual respect, so justice may be pursued with both strength and grace.

Finally, pray for the men and women who place their physical and mental well-being on the line each day—and who are willing to make the ultimate sacrifice for peace and security. Pray that they would lean heavily on the Lord in these days of conflict, sensing His presence, His strength, and His sustaining love despite relentless physical and verbal abuse.

Christians cannot remain silent while lawlessness spreads. Pray without ceasing, speak the truth without fear, and stand firmly for justice grounded in God’s Word. What we tolerate today will define the nation we leave to our children and grandchildren.
