IFA-pac Endorses Dr. Jay Kinzler in the 6th District GOP Congressional Race

The Illinois Family Action (IFA) Board of Directors enthusiastically endorses Dr. Jay Kinzler for U.S. Congress in Illinois’ 6^th District. Kinzler, a medical doctor and Army Reserve Lieutenant Colonel, fully understands the importance of family, the sanctity of life, and the definition of marriage. Dr. Kinzler has a proven record in local government reining in waste and corruption. His commitment to accountability in government will help efforts to stop the continued out-of-control spending in Congress.

“The decision to endorse Dr. Kinzler over incumbent Peter Roskam was not easy,” said IFA executive director David E. Smith. “However, Roskam’s recent vote in favor of the budget-busting omnibus bill and the big government education bill (ESSA) that creates a new federal pre-kindergarten program, despite our calls against these proposals is frustrating.”

“But perhaps most troubling is Roskam’s unapologetic support and endorsement for U.S. Senator Mark Kirk*,” continued Smith. “Our socially liberal junior senator has a long record of actively opposing conservative Christian values. Kirk has voted to continue tax dollars for Planned Parenthood, publicly celebrated the U.S. Supreme Court’s redefinition of marriage, co-sponsored the radical Equal Rights Amendment and voted against the Religious Freedom Restoration Act. These actions are worthy of censure by fellow Republicans, not support.”

“The voters of the 6^th district deserve someone who will represent their values, and Dr. Kinzler would make an outstanding new Republican Representative. We therefore urge voters in the 6^th District to vote for Dr. Jay Kinzler for Congress.

*IFA-pac has endorsed James Marter for U.S. Senate in the GOP primary.
