The DSA’s Platform Walks Us Through, Brick by Brick

The Democratic Socialists of America (DSA) has officially released an updated platform titled Workers Deserve More!, published through its official magazine, Democratic Left. Describing it as a vision for a “comprehensively democratic society,” the platform seeks to unite the organization’s rank-and-file membership and elected officials around a single political program.

Muslim Lobby Day in Illinois

The 9th annual Illinois Muslim Action Day was held this past week at our state Capitol. Organized by The Council of Islamic Organizations of Greater Chicago (CIOGC), followers of Islam gathered to engage with state lawmakers. According to their website, the event aims to 

amplify the voices of the Muslim minority, build stronger relationships with civic and faith partners, and lobby for bills that impact the community and society at large.
