Embers Of Racism, With Obama’s Help, Turned Into An Inferno

Written by Dr. Everett Piper

It’s official. We are now a racist nation. And it happened almost overnight.

Consider the following examples.

Yusra Khogali, a Black Lives Matter leader, recently wrote that “white people are a genetic defect of blackness,” and that “whiteness is not humanness. In fact, white skin is sub-human.”

Ms. Khogali added, “White people are recessive genetic defects. This is factual … Black people simply through their dominant genes can literally wipe out the white race if we had the power to.”

She concluded, “Please Allah give me the strength to not … kill these … white folks out here today.”

And there is the recent example of Nick Cannon, the host of “The Masked Singer,” who made headlines last week by saying White people are a “little less,” that they are “closer to animals,” and that they are the “true savages.”

Speaking on an episode of his podcast, Mr. Cannon argued that “melanated people” have a natural sense of compassion and soul that White people lack. “When you have a person [who] has a … lack of melanin, they know that they will be annihilated,” said Mr. Cannon. “So … they have [a] lack of compassion. Melanin comes with compassion. Melanin comes with soul … Melanin connects us. So, the people that don’t have it, and I’m going to say this carefully, are a little less.”

According to Mr. Cannon, because of their lack of melanin, White people don’t have the “power of the sun” and, therefore, “the only way that they can act is evil.” He says, Whites “[have] to be savages; they [have] to be barbaric … [T]hey’re the ones that are actually closer to animals; they’re the ones that are actually the true savages.”

It is an interesting sidebar to note that Mr. Cannon made these comments in an affirming dialogue with the outspoken anti-Semite Richard “Professor Griff” Griffin, who has been quoted by The Washington Post as saying, “Jews are responsible for the majority of wickedness that goes on across the globe.”

Then there is Nikole Hannah-Jones, the lead essayist for The New York Times1619 Project (a curriculum that is being incorporated into American school systems from coast to coast), who has openly called Whites “barbaric devils,” and a “savage people.” Mrs. Hannah-Jones argues that it is the “descendants” of White Europeans, who “pump drugs and guns into the Black community, pack Black people into the squalor of segregated urban ghettos and continue to be bloodsuckers in our community.”

And let’s not forget The New York TimesSarah Jeong, who after tweeting that Whites are “goblins,” who “smell like dogs,” openly called to “cancel all white people.”

You might rightly ask, how did this all happen? How did we go so quickly from being a nation so close to realizing Martin Luther King Jr.’s dream of being a colorblind society to one fixated on race and division? How did we move so fast from being a country that, in November 2008, had a 70% confidence rating concerning racial relations to one that, today, openly boasts of judging people by the color of their skin rather than the content of their character?

Well, the answer is found in two words: Barack Obama.

This is what you get when you elect a man who is more committed to the worldview of W.E.B. Du Bois than Booker T. Washington. This is what you get when your president is more interested in raising his fist with Malcolm X than extending his hand with MLK. This is what you get when your leader seems more interested in the strategies of Saul Alinsky than those of St. Paul.

This is what you get when you choose to march with someone who laughs at character and is fixated on color. This is what you get when you follow a man who bows before Islam while criticizing Christianity. This is what we get for electing Barack Obama as president of the United States.

On his Inauguration Day, President Obama had the opportunity to usher in a colorblind society. His very election proved that the remnants of American racism were little more than smoldering embers. He could have extinguished them with a simple cup of cold water. But instead, he doused those coals with the gasoline of victimization and lit a match. And after two terms of fomenting identity politics, he left us a nation ablaze and on fire.

And if you think the bonfires are hot now, just wait until November. Elect Joe Biden and watch the inferno burn.
