Pray for Springfield

This week’s episode of Illinois Family Spotlight features highlights from a Springfield prayer gathering that IFI was a part of.

Illinois is in a spiritual battle. Yes, our voices and our votes are important. But, the deeper issue is a lack of repentance and faith in God.

IFI’s Executive Director, David Smith, was able to give an address at this prayer gathering.

“Can we not see that God is beginning to curse our blessings? We have been blessed like no other nation on the face of the earth, yet many have turned their backs on God and live solely by their carnal desires. Immorality and vile behavior has become commonplace.

There is an increase in preborn child sacrifice, an increase in the use of porn and drugs, more arrogance, more pride, more hatred… in short: an utter disregard for God.

We have set God aside and replaced Him with idols – enjoying the blessings that have come to us thanks to the faithfulness of previous generations.”
