Open Letter to Leftists: “You Need to Fix The Pain You’ve Caused”

An Open Letter to Leftist Leaders:
“You need to fix the pain you’ve caused…”

We won. In a big way we won, and there are lessons to be learned in that fact, but I am not going to labor the point now. What I will point out is that there are millions of people who have been profoundly affected by this election cycle and the nation is not merely divided; people are bitterly angry at one another, and worse.

I have heard the chuckles and comments of other conservatives at the meltdown of many of you on the Left, and understand their mindset, but I am not interested in rubbing it in or getting revenge. I want an end to all of your attempts to turn America socialistic and WOKE, and I want America’s youth protected.

I have witnessed the destructive impact that this election has had on young people across the nation and am appalled.  You who led the movement, whether politician, talking head, academician, or whatever, you deserve whatever pain you experience.  You have chosen to promote the nonsense, and thus are responsible for your own suffering.  But I cannot sit idly by and watch the pain that you have inflicted on America’s young people.

For years you have painted Donald J. Trump as a Nazi, a fascist, and the  greatest of threats to the nation, sending young people into paroxysms of fear.  You deprived them of a broad and balanced knowledge of history, leaving them without a framework by which to assess people in leadership.  So, lacking perspective, hearing only one side of the debate, young Americans swallowed your propaganda, hook, line and sinker, and in many cases now quite literally fear for their lives.

But you knew better.  You never believed Trump was such a threat to the nation.  Sure, he may have put your plans at risk, especially those of you who have been driving the country into the ditch of socialism and Marxism or are simply seeking power for yourselves.  But his first four years as president provides no evidence whatever that he would use the power of the office to prosecute his “enemies.” Dictators create more laws, Trump eliminated many! People may have shouted “lock her up” about Hillary Clinton, but President Trump made no effort to go after her or any other person who opposed his agenda or made his life and work more difficult.

And you know he will not go after them or you now!

In reality, it has been you Democrat socialists who have sought to imprison conservatives, from Trump to numerous of his associates. The last thing you ought to do is accuse someone of using law enforcement against their opponents. That light shines most brightly on you!

President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris have now both publicly stated their intent to make the transition as easy as possible for the incoming President; and President Biden even met with Donald Trump and they enjoyed a cordial visit. It is abundantly clear that neither of them sees Trump as a Nazi or an imminent threat to democracy! Their incendiary, and entirely inappropriate accusations regarding Trump over the last weeks and months were exaggerations and lies, leveled for political gain and nothing more. Other Democrat leaders and pundits have admitted as much.

But how are the misled young people dealing with it all?

You all have lied to them for years. They have been led to believe that if they did not vote for Kamala Harris, the world as they know it was quite literally coming to an end. Now, those of you who took them down that rabbit hole, terrorizing them repeatedly, have shrugged their shoulders and walked away! “Hey, it was an election, you do what you’ve got to do to get elected!”

I recall that Kamala Harris, after accepting Biden’s invitation to join him in 2020, was asked how she could team up with a man she had accused so bitterly, strongly suggesting he was a racist.  She laughed and replied that that was just politics!  In other words, her accusations meant nothing. It’s clear her scathing accusations against Trump meant nothing as well.

Thankfully, God is on the throne and has providentially protected the country from your leadership. A significant percentage of Americans have had their eyes opened over the last several years, thus keeping you Leftists from your objectives. But millions of naïve, and impressionable young Americans, at a time when they ought to be preparing for the multitude of opportunities afforded them in this, the greatest nation in the world, are struggling to regain their footing and emotional equilibrium.

Leftists and Democrats, I lay this at your feet! You need to make it right. As they say, “You broke it, you fix it!”

I call on you, if you have even a modicum of the compassion you so loudly boast, tell your followers the truth!  Tell them it was all about getting elected. Tell them you lied in order to get in office or to get other Democrats elected. Tell them you are sorry! (And you ought to be).

By-the-way. If the only way you expect to get elected is to hide your policies and lie about and fear-monger your opponents, maybe you should accept the obvious: your policies are bad, and the nation is on to you!

I get it. You don’t like President Trump’s politics and demeanor. Fine! We defend the First Amendment! Go ahead and tell them you disagree with him and that you believe his philosophy is wrong for the country but tell them the truth about him and his followers!  He and they are not the enemy. Trump may, in your estimation, take the country back to the way it was years ago in some regards, but he will not be creating internment camps or destroying democracy. He is no Nazi, nor are the people who supported him.  Tell those you misled that you grossly overstated the threat, and you are the source of their misplaced fears. Tell them and tell them NOW!

If you have ever publicly lied about Trump. If you have ever fearmongered his policies. If you have ever said anything that inappropriately added to the anxiety of America’s young people. Tell them they are going to be ok!

It’s the right thing to do and might even save some lives.
