An Interview With The Racketeer for Life

Written by Benjamin Smith

On this special edition of Illinois Family Spotlight, Monte Larrick is joined by pro-life hero Joseph Scheidler, the founder and national president of the Pro-Life Action League.

Joe has fought for the unborn since the U.S. Supreme Court manufactured privacy and abortion rights with its 1973 Roe v. Wade and Doe v. Bolton rulings. He was the target of a lawsuit brought by the National Organization for Women under federal racketeering laws. Found guilty in 1998, the Scheidlers triumphed twice in appeals before the U.S. Supreme Court in 2003 and again in 2006.

Monte interviews Joe about his new book “Racketeer for Life” as well as pending pro-life legislation on the national and state level, and what’s next for the pro-life movement.

“Racketeer for Life” explains how Joe was drawn into pro-life activism and describes his part in the history of the pro-life movement in the United States.  If you want to know more about one of the most dedicated warriors in the fight for the unborn, you will want to get this book, as Joe shares his energy, wit, and faith in this engaging memoir.
