Everyone should listen to three segments of the most recent school board meeting in the continually controversial District U-46. These segments offer a picture of the type of collision between wisdom and foolishness that should be taking place in every government school right now. The wise and courageous heroes in this collision are school board member Jeanette Ward and community member Ina Silva-Sobolewski. For those too busy to run for their local school boards, too cowardly to attend school board meetings when controversies arise, or too lazy to vote, maybe a Facebook posting by District U-46 community member Phil Benshoof will be a wake-up call in that his views are shared by many cultural regressives [all errors appear in the original]:
