This Chicago Tribune political cartoon says a lot about Chicago Mayor Rahm Emanuel’s values. In an embarrassing display of liberal irony, some members of the Chicago media have exposed the fact that Mayor Emanuel has a working relationship with Nation of Islam’s Louis Farrakhan, a well known radical Anti-Semite who has praised Adolph Hitler, but rejected mild and meek Christian Dan Cathy, CEO of Chick-fil-A because they do not share Emanuel’s values.
As a native Chicagoan, whose parents and grandparents were born and raised in the City, I can tell you that the embrace of Louis Farrakhan and the championing of radical homosexual politics ARE NOT Chicago values! … Continue Reading
Exclusive: Matt Barber shames black organization for buckling to ‘gay’ activists
As his re-election hopes dim, the mainstream “progressive” media continue to run interference for Barack Obama. It’s predictable. They no longer even try to hide it. They persist in slobbering on their over-hyped, under-capable would-be savior as his campaign collapses around them. The sycophancy is embarrassing and the desperation palpable.
Most recently, they’ve created a stir around the NAACP crowd booing Mitt Romney at the decidedly liberal group’s national convention in Houston, Texas.… Continue Reading

It’s often said, “Be careful what you wish for – you just might get it.”
Democrats got it all right.
U.S. Supreme Court Chief Justice John Roberts – once counted among the constitutional originalists on the high court – has granted President Barack Obama’s supreme wish. By inexplicably siding with the court’s left wing and upholding the president’s signature achievement – government-run socialized health care – Roberts has given Democrats a shiny election-year package adorned with a judicial-activist bow.… Continue Reading

As you know by now, in a 5-4 ruling, the Supreme Court of the United States (SCOTUS) ruled today to uphold the core provisions of President Barack Obama’s Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (PPAC). By their decision, we now face an egregious threat to American liberty.
This federal legislation contains a highly controversial and unpopular Individual Mandate, which, if not repealed, will force Americans to “buy” federally approved or sponsored healthcare plans or pay a penalty for non-compliance.… Continue Reading
June 27, 2012 — Carol Stream, IL — David E. Smith, Executive Director of Illinois Family Action, a sister organization of the Illinois Family Institute, issued the following statement regarding tonight’s fundraiser for Bill Foster hosted by former Playboy CEO Christie Hefner. Foster is the Democratic candidate for the 11th Congressional District:
“It’s disappointing to learn that while Bill Foster has been too busy to tell Illinois voters whether he supports the job-creating Keystone pipeline or explain why he stood with Nancy Pelosi in voting for open homosexuality in the military by voting to overturn the policy of Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell, tonight he’s making time to party with former Playboy Magazine CEO Christie Hefner,” Smith said.

State Senator Ron Sandack’s (R-Downers Grove) vote in support of anti-family gambling expansion in SB 1849 is in stark contradiction to the position he stated earlier this year in the IFI Voter Guide and on the URF 2012 candidate questionnaire.
Both survey’s clearly asked if the candidate supported the expansion of gambling in the state of Illinois. The Illinois Family Institute survey went so far to specifically cite SB 744 and SB 1849 as examples of gambling expansion. … Continue Reading

When you’re on the wrong side of Planned Parenthood, you’re on the right side of history.
The left’s disingenuous and intellectually lazy “war on women” talking points have blown up in its face. Most polls show Mitt Romney fast gaining on President Barack Obama with female voters. Some polls even show him pulling ahead.
Still, it’s the multi-billion dollar abortion industry that may just give Romney the boost he needs to take a permanent lead.… Continue Reading

SB 1849, the massive gambling expansion bill, barely passed the Illinois Senate last night by a vote of 30-26 with three voting present — just an hour and half before the official end of the Spring Session. This vote, however, falls short of the 36 votes needed to over-ride a potential (and anticipated) veto by Governor Patrick Quinn. Sponsored by State Senator Terry Link (D-Lincolnshire), this legislation authorizes five new casinos — including one in the City of Chicago — and adds video slot machines at the existing six horse race tracks. … Continue Reading
