So YOU Elected Pritzker?

Written by Alyssa Sonnenburg

The Illinois gubernatorial primary and general elections are coming up in March and November of this year, respectively.

For the past eight years, Illinoisans have had first-hand experience of the radical nature of the Democratic Party in Illinois.

  • Shocking abortion statistics: 38,472 abortions in Illinois in 2014; 89,770 in 2024.
  • The highest combined state and local tax burden in the nation.
  • Heightened violence.
  • Radical school curriculum: sex ed in kindergarten, proficiency testing of LGBTQ history in 8th grade in order to graduate, tampons in boys school bathrooms, and much more.

Yet would it shock you to know that it might just be YOUR fault? – that is, if you opted out of voting.

In the 2022 general election, which re-elected Governor Pritzker, only 51% of registered voters exercised their privilege and duty to vote. Keep in mind that many are not even registered to vote, so half of the dismal number registered even voted.

In the March 2024 primary election, 19.7% of registered voters turned out – the lowest in over 50 years.

The voter turnout for Southern Illinois, which is predominantly conservative, is even lower.

As many Christians know, government was not man’s idea.

Government was instituted by God with the express purpose of punishing evil-doing and protecting its people (see Genesis 6; Romans 13; 1 Peter 2).

Here in America, we have an incredible privilege.

Never in the history of governments in any culture has the will of the people carried so much weight.

In fact, the preamble of the U.S. Constitution clearly states that “We the people…” are the true governing authorities in our local, state, and federal governments. To put it plainly, no one goes to Springfield or Washington D.C. without our approval.

This is why the twice election of Governor Pritzker and the radical anti-family policies he brings to Illinois is so appalling.

Irish statesman and philosopher, Edmund Burke’s famous quote rings true now more than ever:

“All that is necessary for evil to triumph is for good men to do nothing.”

This March and November, don’t neglect your God-given obligation and privilege of voting.

Early voting is now open. Or you can request a mail in ballot.

If you’re not registered to vote, please do so. It couldn’t be easier. Click HERE.

The only way for the evil in our state to be diminished – abortion, radical LGBTQ ideology, anti-ICE protests, heightened homicides, etc.– is if good men and women LIKE YOU show up to vote.
