Trump’s Executive Order: Keep Men Out of Women’s Sports

On February 5, 2025, President Donald J. Trump signed an executive order titled “Keeping Men Out of Women’s Sports,”  which aims to prohibit confused men and boys from competing in female sports categories in schools or organizations receiving Title IX federal funds.

Beyond schools, this policy influences broader sports governance, with directives to the NCAA to align its policies. There are also implications for international sports, where the U.S. State Department is tasked with pressuring bodies like the International Olympic Committee to adjust their transgender athlete policies.

The President’s executive order marks a complete and welcome departure from the pro-“transgender” extremism of the Biden administration. The order begins by succinctly explaining what is wrong with policies that allow biological males pretending that they are female to take over women’s sports and invade female locker rooms.

In recent years, many educational institutions and athletic associations have allowed men to compete in women’s sports.  This is demeaning, unfair, and dangerous to women and girls, and denies women and girls the equal opportunity to participate and excel in competitive sports.

The order continues by stating that biological truths should not be ignored.

Moreover, under Title IX of the Education Amendments Act of 1972 (Title IX), educational institutions receiving Federal funds cannot deny women an equal opportunity to participate in sports.  As some Federal courts have recognized, “ignoring fundamental biological truths between the two sexes deprives women and girls of meaningful access to educational facilities.”

The order directs the Department of Justice to make sure all government agencies enforce a ban on male, transgender participants from participating in women’s school sports under Trump’s interpretation of Title IX, a law against sex discrimination in education.

Therefore, it is the policy of the United States to rescind all funds from educational programs that deprive women and girls of fair athletic opportunities, which results in the endangerment, humiliation, and silencing of women and girls and deprives them of privacy.  It shall also be the policy of the United States to oppose male competitive participation in women’s sports more broadly, as a matter of safety, fairness, dignity, and truth.

During the signing ceremony, which coincided with National Girls and Women in Sports Day, President Trump emphatically stated:

With my action this afternoon, we are putting every school receiving taxpayer dollars on notice that if you let men take over women’s sports teams or invade your locker rooms, you will be investigated for violations of Title IX and risk your federal funding. There will be no federal funding. So, this will effectively end the attack on female athletes at public K-12 schools, and virtually all U.S. colleges and universities.

Trump went on to say that he is directing the Secretary of State, Marco Rubio:

…to make clear to the International Olympic Committees there, and he’s going to make it as clear as anybody can make it, that America categorically rejects transgender lunacy. We want them to change everything having to do with the Olympics and having to do with this absolutely ridiculous subject that we even have to talk about this subject.

During his speech, he also said that he was directing the Secretary of Homeland Security, Kristi Noem:

To deny any and all visa applications made by men attempting to fraudulently enter the United States while identifying themselves as women athletes to try and get into the games maybe where they are unable to get into the games.

Immediately before signing this new executive order, Trump stated:

…the actions we’re taking today are the latest in a sweeping effort to reclaim our culture and our laws from the radical left crusade against biological reality. On day one, I made it official, and I’m making it official policy of the United States government that there are, you know, two genders. We have two genders. What might they be? Man and woman … male and female.

We have stated this before: the godless Left’s end game is the eradication of all public recognition of sex differences everywhere for everyone. But do not make the mistake of thinking it will stop there. Thomas Hampson points out:

They want to make sexuality fluid and as much a part of daily life as breathing. In doing so they move toward their goal of eliminating any acknowledgement of God and destroying the nuclear family as the basic building block of civilization. One consequence of normalizing sexual activity for everyone no matter their age is to eliminate the age of consent. Kinsey tried to do that in the 50s, but when the model law was developed on the issue of age of consent, he acquiesced to making the age of consent 6 years old. I’m not sure how they came up with that number. No legislatures agreed with that, however. The goal is no age of consent at all.

Thomas, a contributing writer for IFI who served as an intelligence analyst, U.S. Air Force Veteran, a former chief investigator for the Illinois Legislative Investigating Commission, and founder of the Truth Alliance Foundation, which is dedicated to the protection of children, explains that they want to create “a fluid continuum of sexuality,” regardless of age and biological sex:

Even the International Planned Parenthood Federation says young people are sexual beings with needs, desires, and rights that must be respected and protected. They advocate that young people explore, experience, and express their sexualities in healthy, positive, pleasurable, and safe ways. A child’s sexual pleasure should not be confined to one type of expression.

They insist that sexuality is fluid and sexual expression is also fluid. If you raise children with that kind of mindset, that is what the future will look like. It’s already working. Twenty eight percent of children in school today identify as LGBTQ.

Science-denying transgender ideology has done a great deal of damage. This deceitful agenda has confused adults and young people about the truth of how they were created by God, “fearfully and wonderfully.” This phrase is found in Psalm 139:14 and emphasizes the intricate and intentional design of human beings by God, as well as the unique purpose each of us has in His plan.

Transgenderism has caused irreparable damage to the health and well-being of the many people who have engaged in futile efforts to change their sex; it has compromised the privacy, dignity, and safety of women (particularly women in shelters and correctional facilities); it has robbed women and girls of athletic opportunities and athletic victories; and it has attempted to silence and punish anyone who dares to point out the truth about sex and gender identity.

President Trump’s executive orders are bold and impactful first steps toward setting things right. We thank God for a return to sanity on the federal level but realize that we still have much to do if we hope to fully expose and dispel the lies that are continually being sold to society.
