SPOTLIGHT: Jim Marter for Congress (Bonus Episode)
Written by David E. Smith
It is vital that we send a serious conservative to Congress who will work diligently to address inflation, the economy, open borders, transgender insanity, parental rights, the size (and spending) of our federal government, religious liberty and lawfare, to name a few policy priorities. James Marter is the Republican nominee who is IFA’s pro-life/pro-family conservative choice for the 14th Congressional District.
Marter is trying to unseat Congresswoman Lauren Underwood in the General Election on November 5th. Many pundits believe that Underwood’s election in 2018 was made possible by an anti-Trump backlash. Whatever caused the anomaly in that election, the district should be in play in this election cycle. You can see the stark differences in matters of policy by clicking HERE. This district has historically voted for Republican candidates for President and supported Donald J. Trump in 2016 by a 4-point margin. In 2020, Trump fell short by 2 points.
In this bonus edition of the Spotlight podcast, Monte Larrick talks with Jim Marter about what his goals are when he gets in office:
James is a known quantity among grassroots conservatives, and an active member of the Illinois Conservative Union. In fact, he is a reliable activist who regularly attends pro-life events like the March for Life Chicago and SpeakOut Illinois. When iGOLD gathers for their annual lobby day in Springfield, James Marter is among the thousands demonstrating for our 2nd Amendment rights. When IFI hosts its annual banquet, James and his wife are in attendance. We know where he stands.
He has been endorsed by Moms for America Action, Illinois Citizens for Life PAC, Veterans for America First, ACT for America, Taxpayers United for America, and dozens of political and grass-roots activists.
James Marter is the pro-life/pro-family conservative choice for the 14th Congressional District. It is vital that we send a serious conservative to Washington D.C. Congress is not an entry level position.
