Central Illinois GOP Governor Candidate Forum
Written by David E. Smith
After two winter storms put the kibosh on our efforts to hold a gubernatorial forum, Illinois Family Action was thrilled to be a sponsor of a forum hosted by the Tazewell County Republican Party in cooperation with the Peoria County Republican Party and the Woodford County Republican Party.
It is vitally important that we are able to use social media platforms to stream these events. No longer do conservative voters have to sift through biased establishment media reports for the truth. If YouTube is intolerant of conservative views and decides to ban us, we have alternative media sources like Rumble that we can use.
Please share this 90-minute video with your family members, friends, and neighbors, so they have an opportunity to hear from all the candidates and get a sense of their character and passion for the issues of the day.
Five of the six official candidates attended this forum: Illinois Senator Darren Bailey of Xenia, Gary Rabine of Schaumburg, Paul Schimpf of Waterloo, Jesse Sullivan of Petersburg, and Max Solomon of Hazel Crest.
As pointed out by Tazwell County GOP Chairman Jim Rule, “this is a critical time for our communities, the state of Illinois and the United States of America. It is vital we have all the information necessary to send the best person to the Governor’s Mansion. Do we have a person in this pool of candidates who can unseat Governor Pritzker?”
This forum highlights that we have many good candidates who would do a better job leading the state of Illinois out of the wilderness.
