IFA Endorses Rick Laib in the 11th Congressional District!

Written by David E. Smith

We’ve spent months investigating the candidates running for state and federal office. We have emailed/messaged them, compiled voter guide surveys, reviewed their web sites and social media, analyzed voting records, compiled public statements, and met with many of them in person. Our endorsements are based on the top-tier issues that matter to pro-life/pro-family voters.

Therefore, the IFA Board of Directors and staff enthusiastically endorses Rick Laib in the 11th Congressional District.

Voters in your district have a very clear choice: common sense pro-family values, lower taxes, and job growth, or an extreme left-wing anti-life agenda, higher taxes and fewer jobs.

Rick Laib has served this community and our nation for most of his professional life.  He joined the United States Army Reserves at age 17, serving until 2000 and received an Honorable Discharge.  In 1996 Rick joined the Will County Sheriff’s Office and continues to serve the people as a Sergeant. His police work includes assignment to the department’s Honor Guard and SWAT team as well as a variety of patrol and security roles.

Rick will work hard to keep the 11th Congressional District a safe place to raise families. He opposes oppressive restrictions on religious institutions and businesses, and supports parental choice in education and healthcare. He values the traditional family, limited government and advocates for the life of the unborn. He is a man of faith, integrity and courage.

We wholeheartedly encourage you to vote for Rick Laib for Congress and Mark Curran for U.S. Senate in the upcoming November 3rd General Election.

What is “The Fair Tax” Amendment?

Voters will be asked to approve a “Fair Tax” Amendment on the November 3rd ballot. State Representative Darren Bailey (R-Louisville) calls it “The Progressive Punishment Tax” in an article for IFA.
