Written by Benjamin Smith
Elise Bouc is the State Chairwoman of Stop ERA Illinois. She joins Monte and Dave on this week’s podcast to discuss the extensive negative consequences of the Equal Rights Amendment (ERA) in the state of Illinois and the nation.
Phyllis Schlafly, Beverly LaHaye, and former state representative Penny Pullen were champions of battling and exposing the ERA because of the harm to women. And one unlikely woman confirmed their grave concerns.
U.S. Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsberg wrote Sex Bias in the U.S. Code when she was with the ACLU. She wrote that at least 800 federal laws would likely be struck down – laws aimed at protecting women.
This constitutional amendment will do nothing but harm women and their families. Please listen to this great episode to learn how it will alter abortion laws, employment, the military, social security, prisons and much more:

It’s essential for us to let our lawmakers know that this amendment harms women, their families, and our society, because many still believe the lie that it’s all about equal rights. Your calls and emails are vital tools for fighting this destructive proposal.
More ACTION: Sign the petition to Target pledging to boycott them until they rescind their transgender bathroom policy.
