The conservatives who support Trump believe that he’s the only one who can “blow up” the establishment, or build the wall, or throw the hammer through the screen of political correctness, etc., etc.

They’ve arrived at a point where they no longer believe the answer is found in the U.S. Constitution, or conservatism, or even in Christianity.

They’ve seen power lust sold as pragmatism work to tear the country apart, and so, blinded by its success, they’re sold on pragmatism-in-drag pulling us out of the mire. And they couldn’t be more wrong.

But don’t think that they’ve developed amnesia over night. They haven’t forgotten conservative or Christian principles – they’ve abandoned them. And that’s why they react with such venom when their pride is challenged by those who point that out to them.
