While this past weekend saw an 18% decline in movie box office receipts from last year and drew the least income among the top 12 grossing films since 2008, one movie is doing better than most people ever predicted. Dinesh D’Souza’s 2016: Obama’s America, the conservative feature film has earned over $26 million in the US, making it the second highest-grossing political documentary of all-time.
Although not on a huge number of screens and widely dismissed by the media, the film is doing well and more importantly it is worth seeing.… Continue Reading

While it would have been appropriate, there was no reference to rebellion against King George proclaimed last Monday outside the Will County Courthouse when 39 county officials and candidates signed the “Will County Declaration of Independence from Cook County-style politics.”
The modern day Will County rebels were clearly Inspired by America’s Founding Fathers and their example of severing ties with the tax-demanding, insatiable, corrupt English crown on July 4, 1776.

“But whoever disowns me before others, I will disown before my Father in heaven.” ~Matthew 10:33
Are you a believer? I’m not asking if you’re a Democrat, a Republican or an independent. I’m asking if you believe in God. The God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob. The God of the living, not the dead. The great “I Am.”
If so, here’s something to seriously consider in the voting booth on Nov. 6. In its official 2012 version, the Democratic Party finally scrubbed all recognition of God from its party platform.… Continue Reading

When asked about the removal of “God” from the Democratic Platform, Illinois’ U.S. Senator Dick Durbin responded, “…to suggest that this document and the insertion of two words here and one word there, now defines politics in America suggests to me that you’re not focusing on the real issues that Americans care about.”
I wonder what he would say now that the Democrats put “God” back in? Would he again say that his Party and fellow Democrats are not focusing on the real issues that Americans care about — or would he admit that his Party and fellow Democrats have suddenly realized that the rejection of “God” will not play well with most Americans?… Continue Reading

With the exception of one column previously penned, I pray this becomes my most widely read to date.
The secular left has mastered use of the Internet to further its extremist goals. In fact, President Obama’s web-based “Organizing for America” propaganda machine may have given him the 2008 election.
Let’s beat them at their own game.
To that end, I have a strange request. I’m asking each God-fearing, freedom-loving American who reads this column to forward it, post it, tweet it, print it out and give it to every pastor, priest or cleric you know. |

Forget about Bert and Ernie. I always thought Kermit the Frog was a little “light in the flippers,” if you know what I mean. Miss Piggy? Probably just cover (wink wink, nudge nudge, say no more). And how about that perennial bachelor, Fozzie Bear? Wocka Wocka, indeed.
Or not.
I don’t know.
Still, a recent move by The Jim Henson Company makes you wonder. In a distinctly knee-jerk, anti-family development, the Muppet mogul has severed promotional ties with Chick-fil-A – the booming fast-food chain and American Cinderella story. |

“Sophomoric.” That is Chicago Democrat and Alderman Joe Moreno’s response to those of us who say his threat against Chick-fil-A is intolerant, hypocritical and discriminatory.
As it turns out, the political pundits and legal scholars — including scores of self-professed “progressives” — have almost uniformly argued that the alderman’s actions are discriminatory and illegal. Even the ACLU admits that this is “viewpoint discrimination.” The religious bigotry couldn’t be clearer.… Continue Reading
