Millions Upon Millions of Tax Dollars for the Taliban?

On February 26, 2025, the U.S. House Oversight Subcommittee held a hearing on the role of foreign aid and the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) in which it was revealed that American taxpayers were funding our enemies and the enemies of our allies. This news was largely ignored by the drive-by media, and in my opinion, must be better highlighted by center-right sources.

U.S. Representative Tim Burchett (R-TN) exposed how the Taliban – a Sunni Islamist terror group from Afghanistan – was receiving over $40 million a week in indirect funding through USAID. Watch the 5 minute segment yourself:

As one would expect when evil is exposed, Left-wing partisans are scrambling to dispute the concerns raised by U.S. Representative Burchett, saying the foreign aid sent to Afghanistan is intended to address the country’s severe humanitarian crisis. Burchett isn’t alone in publicly voicing concerns about how tax dollars are being misused. U.S. Representative Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) has also denounced the news about significant amounts of U.S. taxpayer money ending up in the hands of the Taliban.

Additionally, their concerns are validated by the office of the Special Inspector General for Afghanistan Reconstruction (SIGAR), which has been investigating the use of U.S. taxpayer funds in Afghanistan, including how funds are potentially being used to support the Taliban. In April 2023, SIGAR informed Congress that they could not assure that American aid to Afghanistan is not currently being used to fund the Taliban government.

Late last month, U.S. Representative Burchett held a press conference to highlight an important piece of legislation: H.R. 260, the No Tax Dollars for Terrorists Act. There are currently 22 Republican cosponsors of this bill.

The U.S. Senate version of the legislation (S. 226) has been introduced by U.S. Senators Tim Sheehy (R-MT), Tommy Tuberville (R-AL), and Bill Hagerty (R-TN).

It is outrageous that millions of American tax dollars are being used to fund Islamic terror organizations that want to wage jihad to either kill non-adherents of their Sunni sect or enforce Sharia.

The Taliban maintain close ties with al-Qaeda and other jihadist groups, raising concerns about the potential for international terrorist attacks from Afghan soil, funded with our money.

“It’s sickening, to be honest, and American taxpayers want this stamped out. This legislation has been sat on long enough. We need to move this through both chambers and get it to President Trump’s desk,” said Rep. Burchett.

The stunning revelations about billions of dollars stolen from American taxpayers to support terrorism and the destruction of Israel only serves to demonstrate how deep the SWAMP in Washington DC is. May God continue to protect and bless our President and his team as they work to expose this wickedness and steer America back to righteousness. No President has done more to bless and protect Israel than Donald Trump and we must continue to pray for GOD’S grace upon his life.

It has been said, better to be the enemy of the U.S. rather than a friend. If you are a friend, you might be sold out. However, if you are an enemy, you likely will be bought out.
