Vice President Vance Schools CBS on Immigration Enforcement
Written by David E. Smith
In a Jan. 26 interview on CBS “Face the Nation,” left-wing program host Margaret Brennan asks Vice President JD Vance, “Do you personally support the idea of conducting a raid or enforcement action in a church service, at a school?”
The Vice President quickly points out that protecting America and Americans, including migrants here legally, is the Trump Administration number one priority. And when Brennan highlighted the concerns of the U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops (USCCB), Vance responded,
“As a practicing Catholic, I was actually heartbroken by that statement. I think that the U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops needs to actually look in the mirror a little bit and recognize that when they receive over $100 million to help resettle illegal immigrants, are they worried about humanitarian concerns, or are they actually worried about their bottom line?”
Watch the following two minute (plus) clip to fully appreciate Vance’s response:
For Brennan and other open-border advocates, we ask:
- Why wouldn’t federal law enforcement officials pursue criminals sheltering churches?
- Where in Holy Scripture are Christians instructed to protect lawbreakers?
- What other fugitives, gangsters or felons should churches shield and for how long?
- Are church officials okay with churches hiding pimps who are involved in human trafficking?
- Will churches knowingly protect MS-13 or Tren de Aragua gang members? How about those who are on the terror watch list?
- Will churches willing protect those who have been convicted of a violent crime in another country?
- What church officials run background checks on the fugitives they are shielding to protect the community at large from dangerous individuals running from the law?
