In this special episode of Illinois Family Spotlight, Monte Larrick sits down with Reverend Elmer Harris.

Elmer Harris is the pastor emeritus of Second Baptist Church in Joliet and serves as a chaplain for the Bolingbrook Police Department. He also ministers to hundreds of people in the community through the ministry, Blessing Table. Blessing Table is a food pantry that was started in June of 2020 to help feed needy people across many communities.

“We serve a beautiful, garden bouquet of all nationalities and all colors. And that’s what makes it so beautiful. It’s not just feeding one sector or one race. We feed everybody.”
