College of Lake County: Robert J. Tomei Jr. For Trustee

As a lifetime Lake County resident, where I currently live in Gurnee, education is in my DNA. I attended Warren Township High School from 2001-05, where I graduated among the highest in my class and received All-Conference football honors. In 2009, I also graduated with honors from Illinois State University as a “Diversity Scholar” with a Bachelor of Arts degree in English Studies, gathering a few credits from the College of Lake County along the way. Following my undergraduate studies, I attended Law School at Northern Illinois University graduating Cum Laude in May of 2012.

Shortly after being sworn in as a licensed attorney, I opened up my private Consumer Rights law practice with a focus on representing individuals against major corporations in finance, manufacturing, and debt collection. In the fall of 2018, I co-founded the law firm, Johnston Tomei Lenczycki & Goldberg, LLC, a full-service law firm located in the heart of downtown Libertyville.

I live with my wife Catherine, a Round Lake Middle School Math Teacher, our adoring 2-year-old daughter Aviana, and our 6-year-old boxer, Cato in our “forever home” in Gurnee.

Following many candid discussions at the dinner table with many family members and friends about the educational system and seeing that the future of our youth are in peril, the answer has become clear: serving on the College of Lake County Board of Trustees is my opportunity to give back to provide an equal voice to all members of the CLC and Lake County communities, for faculty, students, and residents alike.

We desperately need a new voice on the CLC board, so please support Tomei for CLC Trustee on (or before) April 6th.

Sincerely,

Robert J. Tomei Jr.
Lake County Patriot
