14 Year Old Presents A Challenge

Dog Days

While the oppressive Illinois end-of-summer heat and humidity have arrived in force, the dog days of summer took quite a toll on the donations necessary to sustain our work.

We rely solely on donations from generous individuals to accomplish our work in Illinois. Summer, as usual, was a financially difficult time for us — yet our pro-family work and ministry didn’t slow down. These were very busy days.  And now that it’s September and we are engaged in projects and events that I sincerely believe will make Illinois a better place for us and for our families, we are asking, once again, for your help.

We continue to strive for a more decent society — one that cherishes, encourages, and protects religious and political freedom, and one that strengthens the most basic building block of any society … the family.

My family is very precious to me, as is yours.  I’m sure you can imagine that this job is all consuming.  It isn’t really possible to leave my work at the office.  My wife and children end up being heavily involved in IFI and IFA’s ministry and work.  In fact, my fourteen year old son recently donated $35 to IFA.  He earns spending money by doing lawn work and odd jobs for the neighbors.  He obviously believes in the cause.  This was not his first donation to the cause, but his timely sacrifice inspired me.

On top of the monthly pledge my family has to IFI, my wife and I matched his $35 and the Smith family gave $70 to IFA’s important work.  (Yes, it is sad that we have to have to operate two separate non-profit organizations to be able to exercise our First Amendment rights in the pubic square, but I digress…)

Together, we are fighting to preserve America for our children and grandchildren.  I believe God is pleased when fathers and sons come together in ways like this.

We are blessed to have a “government of the people, by the people, and for the people.” But our form of government has one key requirement: our participation. We need you to be involved with us to be a part of the solution.

We have several significant projects underway, and adequate funding is critical:

(1) Voter Registration Drives at churches throughout the state,
(2) recruiting Christian voters to run for precinct committeeman,
(3) representing family values in Springfield during the annual Veto Session, and
(4) preparing our 2016 Primary 501(c)4 Voter Guide.
