The border between the United States and Mexico is approximately 1,954 miles long, and while much of the border is secured, there are large portions where it remains wide open for illegal immigration, smuggling, and trafficking.  When Joe Biden came into office, he inherited the lowest rate of illegal immigration in 45 years. Instead of following the successful policies of the Trump administration, he implemented three major changes that have resulted in a tsunami of migrants coming over the border:

On December 20, Texas Governor Greg Abbott (R) sent this communication to President Biden concerning the Southern Border Crisis on the eve of the Winter Solstice.

“With cold temperatures gripping Texas, your inaction to secure the southern border is putting the lives of migrants at risk, particularly in the City of El Paso.  With thousands of men, women, and children illegally crossing into Texas every day, and with the expectation that those numbers will only increase if Title 42 expulsions end, the state is overburdened as we respond to this disaster caused by you and your administration.

Is there anything the left won’t blame on their fantastical scapegoat, climate change? Don’t bet on it. Their latest dodge is blaming the border crisis, which they created, on the climate crisis, which they invented.

A Politico article is headlined, “It’s Not a Border Crisis. It’s a Climate Crisis.” That’s a convenient twofer. Never let an opportunity to blame a crisis on climate change go to waste. Well played.

So, here’s the Democrats’ plan: Flood America’s southern border with millions of illegal aliens, hook them on government aid and eventually turn them into voters. It can’t be more obvious anymore.

Use the courts to strike down any attempts to secure the border.  Have judges rule against election integrity laws like voter ID or even the commonsense question about citizenship in the 2020 national census. Since the federal shutdown began [four] weeks ago, the liberal media have presented dozens of Chicken Little stories claiming that the sky is falling.

“Three dead in national park system accidents as shutdown wears on,” screamed a six-column headline in the Washington Post on January 5.
